Write-in Option: Brad Treliving.

I think Conroy can do it and I think he will do a good job with it. But Tulsky has a vibe to him. A “under-appreciated genius” vibe. Maybe it’s the hair.

In summary, I voted based on whose hair I liked the most.

Dubas has done a horrible job in Toronto. I don't get the appeal.

While he hasn't seen post season success yet, he's put together a team that consistently and easily makes the playoffs. It's hard to kind of blame him when the team holding you back is Tampa Bay and it seems like many of the team's problems are between the players' ears.

However, I did not like his deadline moves this year.

He certainly looks like he'd have no problem doing whatever Edwards and Sutter tell him to do. Perfect candidate!

Conroy deserves a shot, but Im scared Sutter will have too much influence over him. Im not sure Conroy will be willing to butt heads with or put his foot down when dealing with Darryl.

I want someone from outside of the organization. Treliving did an average job IMO and didn't rebuild when he should have. If that's all because of the owners, he should have said something or done things differently.

Get someone new and different, this team needs to change things if they want something other than average.

If they keep Sutter as coach and the owners still want final say, just make Sutter GM/coach. At least we'll know there's no hope.

The Leafs look pretty good to me. Goaltending not so much, but on the whole I'd be happy to watch a team of that quality on a regular basis.

I love Connie, and I think he would be a great GM. If for whatever reason he didn't want the job I'd hope for Tulsky or Darche.

However, I did not like his deadline moves this year.
He had Matthews, Marner, Nylander, and Rielly to build around when he took over, and then had Tavares fall directly into his lap.

He could not have asked for a more cushy position to be in, and he has done nothing but fail that core since.

Dubas has made patchwork of his goaltending and has traded six first round picks in just under five years on complimentary pieces and cap dumps.

I just don't see it.

You forgot Sutter in the poll.

I'm really liking the idea of Dubas.

Although this whole discussion could be a moot point if Edwards' is truly meddling with the GM at the degree we fear him to be.

Is there actually any Flames fans out there that would want Sutter for GM? I guess maybe those that just want to watch the world burn.
