$8560.60 according to the invoice in my flames app for the 2022-23 season.
Did you change seats? My original 22-23 invoice was $8402.82 (screen shot from April 24, 22), but I upgraded a couple of rows at the relocation and the seats we a few dollars more per game.

Yeah I did change seats, last year was my first in those seats. Guess they charge extra for the seat change?! Did not know that hahaha

I don’t think they charge extra for a seat change, but there is sub-pricing within the white centre price group. It seems there is a general consensus the increase is 4.9%. Maybe you overpaid, maybe not. Call them and confuse them enough, maybe you will get a credit. Lol.
It is also quite possible I am confused.

There were definitely seasons available without any waitlist this year. I doubt there will be more people inspired to get new seasons than will give up their current ones this off-season given the situation with the team.
But probably a 5% increase doesn't reduce retention by 5%, so it probably still makes sense.

My tickets also went from $8,748.98 to $8,980.20 so 2.6%.
I did not change seats either, so not sure what the difference could be to others.

I’m not a STH but given the number of y’all on here, it would be pretty easy to start a little movement. Get a group, send an email with names and don’t renew. Then go bigger with the usual channels to tell others.
This will get their attention if you are unhappy with these increases in light of everything else.

100% agreed.
Honestly everyone should complain and threaten to cancel.
The value/perks of being an STHer have gone done as well, the third and number of events, discounts and etc just doesn't make sense anymore. Even parking the resale value and product on the ice aside.

Your seatmate probably now has a better understanding of caveat emptor.

You don't think he would have enjoyed getting 50% of cost for games he couldn't go to late in the season?
Source: during spring break when I was on vacation I sold a pair of greens as low as $50 for the pair. STH price $112. Normally at that price I'd just go myself but I was out of town. Real wake up call on the fair market value...
Edited to add - and I've been a sth for nearly 15 years and have moved to some of the best value seats in the Dome (low greens). Many other sections would likely have been worse.

I'm just surprised the midway point of the season, when Huby probably had 20 points, was when he decided to sign up haha. I imagine for anything but the best seats in the Dome there's a very short waiting list.

$9000 for two seats.....wow. This obviously wouldn't include parking and food/drinks (above what might be offered as freebies for being a ticket holder). All in, I would imagine a full season would come out to around $10,000 or more for those particular seats.
Let me see, go on a beautiful vacation to an exotic location in Europe or sit in a dump and watch entitled millionaires chase a rubber disk with little passion or care. Choice seems obvious to me.
Hats off to those individuals who have had enough of this price gouging and are dropping their tickets. As long as people continue to pay these ridiculous prices (and getting little in return) nothing will change. I don't blame the owners for upping prices if people continue to pay. The problem with pro sports is not the owners and players (I mean who would turn down money), it's the fans who continue to buy into this. You see how fast tickets prices, athlete salaries, and owner profit would drop if everyone just stopped watching or attending. Alas, I am living in a dream world.

Ultimately Flames tickets are non-essential. If you don't like the price, just walk away.
That's easier said than done, though, when you've got a lot of emotion attached to the team. It's been done to death in so many other threads but as fans of this club, we are accepting mediocrity. I don't spend a cent on hockey now that nhl.tv is defunct in Australia, and I still feel ripped off haha.

I am in a very similar spot. All things considered, decent value seats.
My issue, which really has nothing to do with the on-ice product, is the resale process. STH get bent coming and going with the ticketmaster fees. Generally I am not looking to make a huge profit, but just to cover expenses, but that is almost impossible with the transaction fees.

I have one of those unicorn seats but I'm out. Technically the Flames won't notice though because my buddy is just going to buy my seat off me.

You would think that, but even at $40/seat, my buddy and I probably only sold half the games we listed this year. Demand is as low as I've ever seen it. Everybody will always be quick to say they'd easily pay that, but then you offer it to them and life just gets in the way.

Over the year it ends up not being too bad.
My formula year over year is simple:
Accept that you will have really poor re-sale on a large number of games. Take the Leafs and Habs fans to the cleaners… sell other premium games for as much as you can.
Go to roughly 20 games.
Playoff tickets - sell for as much as possible. Go to 1
Game and sell the next and rotate.
I have Greens and this method leaves me good enough value to keep renewing. I like the flexibility and the few other limited perks that come with having season tickets.
I usually get 1 seat upgrade a year which is 2-4 tickets in the lower bowl for free while I keep my seats. I do appreciate that and it brings some value.

Why not both? I'm going to Europe for a month next year and spend $9000 on tickets.
Not sure about anyone else, but I do not go to all 41 games, and have family and friends who help offset the costs for me as they typically buy half my games at cost from me at the start of the season. I typically go to 8-10 games a year, then sell the big games (Oilers, Leafs, Canadians, Bruins, possibly Ducks with Bedard next year).
So my all in cost is well below $10,000 you figure by the end of the season.

I must have been fortunate. I was able to off load almost all the tickets I tried to sell. Probably ate it on only a few games where on the day something came up or didn't want to travel due to weather. Ended up selling about half which ended up covering half for this year.
