Mine started during the 2004 Playoff run, drove in for Game 6 SC Final and tried getting tickets to the game. The prices were obviously insane from scalpers so we ended up not going to the game and hung out on the red mile.
After that said I would get season tickets and just sell the ones I couldn't go to, trying to break even or come close. That way I would have access to tickets for the playoffs at reasonable prices. Sat on the waiting list for a while before actually getting tickets.
Worked for a while but has been getting tougher and tougher to sell.

I had season tickets for the Gaudreau second contract 2016-2022 and the value wasn’t there. Before Covid they had 1-2 season ticket holder session a year where Treliving and others (King/Bean, Conroy) would tell ticket holders about their plan and take questions. They would have a buffet and open bar which was a nice touch. Those have been gone since Covid and unless they came back this year they haven’t done anything (I assume they haven’t done anything as these events always had a thread associated).
I found resale to be a massive chore and outside of not getting utterly gouged for playoff tickets I didn’t really see the benefit. Absolutely no regrets not renewing after last year.

I can see it on my account. I click on Paid and it brings up the previous season.
I paid 6,676.22 for a pair in the orange section in 2022-23. My tickets increased by $327.58 (4.91%) to $7,003.80. I like my specific seats on the corner. I sat a few places in 211 and 226 in the last couple years and didn't enjoy it as much, as it's tough to see when one person decides to lean forward.

You really need a personality like Ken King or Burke to carry season ticket holder events.
I found it hard to use up my tickets when I had them. I never went to more than 20 games. Can’t say that I miss them. The Dome is a dump. If I had a box it would be different, but regular seats are not so good. I might reinvest in tickets when the new building is done. I’m old and need more comfort for that kind of money.

With my press levels, I calculated that I saved 17% compared to buying tickets on the 2nd hand market (not sure if I'm allowed to say the names on the boards).
However that also doesn't include the food vouchers which are almost the same price of the tickets, some new beer league gear during locker room sale and if they keep the Wranglers deal

I think it also depends on when you became a season ticket holder and the seats you have. I started in the first row of the blacks back when they tarped off the upper bleeds. Those are the unicorn seats and in my experience are probably easier to off load if needed.
I also can't see my previous invoice from last year. My napkin math tells me the tickets for a pair in the row 1 blacks went up 128.89. so around 3%.

Row 2/3 Black up 4.9% according to my math (which seems accurate based on what others are reporting in other sections).

An increase of 4/5% after the season we just had, with the turmoil in the organization, the lack of direction on how to build a contender and the chaos of the new arena negotiations with the city, seems absolutely insane to me. My first thought is the waiting list must still be solid/in demand or they don't really care/empathize with its current STH.
If I lived in the city still and had seasons I'd certainly be cancelling based on the current circumstance, for those extending, you guys certainly have a high pain threshold.

Looks like mine are up around 3.5%. Lower than the inflation rate so I'm not too fussed about that. I go to about 25 games a year and have a group of friends that buy the rest at the start of the year when I make my schedule so it's not a hassle. I took over the seats that my parents bought in 1980 at the Corral so about 20 years ago so as long as I still enjoy going (which definitely tested me this year), I'll keep renewing.

I would almost guarantee there is zero wait list. Guy beside me this year bought in at season ticket prices halfway through the season.

Part of it is that some STH have spent a number of years to finally get to the seats they want. It is simple to say I'm canceling my tickets, but the truth is that it may take you a decade to get back to them depending on what you are giving up.

This is where I am. Covid was an amazing time to upgrade seats within a price-point and you'd have to pry these seats out my cold dead hands.
There's also a decade of relationships built with flames org now and that has its benefits too

Renewal will be strong. That's why there's an increase regardless of performance. They'll keep bumping prices if cancelation is less or equal to the increase. Pretty simple.
Easy renew for me.
It took me this long to get my seats to where they are at.

My centre whites are up 4.9%. $8980 including fees and taxes, which works out to $219 a game.
It will be hard to recover my cost on the games I can’t make. I’m a sucker, so will probably keep them.

I’m curious….What did you pay this past season? I’m centre white as well and looking at my 2022-23 statement, I went from $8749 to $8980 which is only like a 2.6% increase.
