Vegas, and Eichel in particular, looked baaaaad. Not sure Broissoit is enough in net for a serious playoff run.
Jets may not be a fantastic team, but they look a helluva lot more prepared to play hockey in the post-season compared to Vegas. Still a long way to go, but I think we may get an upset in this series.

Every so often Vegas loses a game where they look bad than reel off 4 straight after. They looked bad yesterday though. That could have been a 4 or 5 goal spread a lot earlier as a lot of pucks got through Brossoit and just missed the net or got cleared.

Jets struggled a bit in the second half of the season but once Dubois returned from injury and they changed their lines up with about 10 games left their underlying stats really took off at 5v5.
Goals For: 65.7% (1st)
xGoal For: 59.2% (2nd)
Especially strong defensively at 5v5.
Goals Against per 60: 1.5 (2nd)
xGoals Against per 60: 2.23 (4th)
That was a bit outside the norm for them, because there GF and xGF was middle of the pack for most of the season.
So you combine that improved structure and play, with a goalie that has a .920 save percentage...and all of a sudden that team looks like a really tough out.

They certainly have all the pieces, and I have wondered why they could not at least be in a division playoff spot. If they have finally put it together, then they could surprise some teams.
It's just one game fellas. We are talking about the Jets here remember. Sure the Jets could win the series as anything can happen in the 1st round of the playoffs but the Knights can easily turn this around.
For sure. Vegas has a lot of veterans and they will be better next game. I was just saying that Winnipeg has the ingredients to go on a run if they got hot.
Still hate the Jets and hope they lose but Barron making his best pitch to star in the Face/Off remake only to come back 15 minutes later is one of those things that just make the playoffs what they are. Hell of a story, the guy is tough.
