9 points separates the and Seattle scored more goals and Colorado had the better goals against. You woukd think it would be the other way around.
Don't think it's as big of a mismatch teams seem pretty even but the Avs have two of the best players in the game.

There are shades of the 16-17 Golden Knights with this Krakken team. They don't have top end types, but they are 4 lines deep. I do notice that the Avalanche lean a lot more on their top guys than they used to. Krakken won't be easy to take out.

Not a fan of this insta-contender theme with expansion teams.
If they expand to 34 I think a change of rules is in order.

They got roasted here and all over social media for their expansion picks. Even tonight's roster, you don't look at it and think 'wow, what a powerhouse.'
Sometimes the right mix of players, good coaching and good goaltending can win a lot of games. Plus there is zero pressure on them. They are not supposed to win this series. They are playing with house money.

Jones 2.99 and.886
2.85 and.895 for the backup.
They better hope it holds up everyone blamed Markstrom and if he had better stats but Seattle showing it didn’t really matter.
Did anyone in the Pacific's even have.900 goaltending.

They might only get it in 4 games...which could be enough.
I would think Grubauer will have some motivation to show the team he was a Vezina finalist for that he can win in the playoffs.

Surprising result, but maybe not really given how a bunch of game 1s have gone.
Like the Avs and I like the Kraken (they're new so I don't hate them as a division rival yet, plus those sweet jerseys) so not sure who to cheer for. As long as somebody takes care of the greasers, I'd be fine with either making a run.
