I watched 3 ABs in the bottom of the 1st, figured it was a lost cause and turned it off.

I switched it as soon as the bases loaded hit connected. I knew right there it wasn't worth watching anymore.

Jays at
.271 BA (6th in league)
4.86 ERA (22nd in league)
Wait and see where things are at after the 40 game mark I think but Pitching was the question mark at the start of the season and still is.

I agree but it's been totally the inverse of what's expected, which may be a good sign. Like if you saw that stat at the beginning of the season would you think, "oh, must be because Manoah and Gausman got lit up"? Probably not. I don't think that trend continues - maybe Kikuchi and Berrios can't maintain form but I think Manoah has to get better from here. Can't imagine he won't.

This is true, Berrios and Kikuchi were really good their last outtings. But still I think pitching will make or break the season.

Bats have been awfully quiet the last 20 innings or so. Nice if they would wake up soon.

9 up, 9 down for Bassitt.
They needed a start like this.
Gotta score some runs though.

It would be pretty fantastic if the bottom of the rotation could keep pitching like they have been lately.

Mis-interpreting a stat, weekly prize winner:
"Belt has seen more pitches per at bat than anyone else in the majors!"
"Yes, he has a good eye"
No... he simply isn't putting the bat on the ball, so he has to strike out or walk every at bat

I'm really starting to warm up to Merrifield. I was kind of meh about him last year, mostly performance driven, but he really does play the game very well. Nice to have a reliably speedy contact hitter at the bottom of the line up.

Chapman is just unbelievable so far this season. Good time to be a free agent.

Kinda under the radar, but they're building three new lounges are part of this off-seasons renovations. They're saying it's directly behind the dugout and home plate which doesn't quite make sense considering they're also saying it has a view of the field. Curious what this and other renovations will be.
