I want to hear it too! They'll be even more upset if they figure out it was a Winnipeg fan and not a Calgary fan! Haha. Love you WhiteOut403

They may have missed it, but it was clear enough on the air that everyone listening heard.

Ill be the first to say;

1.) That was unexpected, yet hilarious.
2.) I am just as pleased as the rest of you
3.) I do not need to justify myself or my moral compass.

I offered my opinion, and people jumped on it. I am thrilled with an oiler loss for rivalries sake. I am also at peace with the worst case scenario should it come to pass. I do wish our team did not languish in perpetual mediocrity.

Toxic fandom has caused me needless stress and I'm tired of it. I'm tired of hating opposing team fan bases just because they cheer for the other team. I am tired of them hating us. There are enough reasons in the world to be depressed, anxious, and miserable. The team you cheer for shouldn't be one of them. I am not here to change anyone's mind nor sway your opinions. I simply gave mine. How much you dwell on it and make fun of me for it, is up to you.

If you don't want to hear bad things about the oilers then don't read oiler threads, seems simple.

So you're good with oiler fans chucking objects at the Kings players as they celebrate a well deserved win?

Doesn't budge the moral compass for you eh?

That's too bad.

When we lose, we get quiet and sad and accept it. When Vancouver or Edmonton lose, they throw junk on the ice and think that's okay.

Who's toxic?

Let's respect the opinion and move on.

Gotta think next game Edmonton will come out blazing especially McDavid. He was awful in game 1.

At no point did I address throwing objects on the ice in ANY of my posts. Obviously that's morally reprehensible behaviour. A jersey is sacred and should never find it's way to an ice surface, yet for oiler fans it occurs at least once a season. Again, toxic fandom. On that, we can agree.

I respect it. I just don't agree, and reserve the right to protest said disagreement.

It's like people who say "free speech!" like it's verbal chain mail

You can say it. But it doesn't grant you immunity from appropriate and expected responses.

I'm glad he's doing what allows him mental peace, at the end of the day.

Anyways. I agree. McDavid will probably answer the bell as we should expect after an atrocious outing.

I think a lot of people did but I think that the vast majority of their fans didn't throw anything into the ice. You make it seem like 18,000 started pelting the ice with refuse. There are idiots in every fan base including the Flames, they just usually don't post of message boards during and after games though.

Edmonton is no Good

Also I like Doughty when he plays the Oilers.

You're right mr mustard.

It's not everybody. The idiot quotient is just much, much greater in the Oiler and Canuck fanbases.

When is the last time we've seen fans tossing full cans of beer on the ice? Pretty rare, and I used to frequent games in Philly that is one rough crowd.

They're certainly not helping the already damning IQ eye test throwing away perfectly good beer (never mind littering a rink with people on it).

I think the Oilers fanbase took the biggest L tonight overall.
