Then we met up again when you came to Calgary at Dixon's!

Gala too is good people.

I will say, my funniest CP meet was at my wife's company Christmas party, got talking with someone about the Flames and I basically repeated something I had posted a few days prior and he's all....

"So...you're Locke."

Busted. I mean, I never pretend to not be Locke except when I pretend to be Bingo...if you try even a little people can find out exactly who I am, hell there are 3 posters on here I went to High School with who identified me pretty quickly.

I accept that I have no anonymity anymore.

But at that time, it was just super weird. "So, you're Locke" from a complete stranger at my wife's company Christmas party. He said he was an unregistered lurker, that may or may not still be true but it is what it is.

I may be understating the number of CPers I met...hell, that one party at Aeneas' house during CzechTrek alone I cant remember how many were there.

It was a fun night. Extolling our love of Rhett Warrener.

One of these days I'll be back in Calgary and not be so damn busy and we'll do it again. Maybe even next month....

My meeting with CPers is basically transactional as well.

I've met maybe a dozen through buy and sell as well. I think Fuzz was the first CPer I ever met and it was via buy and sell.

Troutman did my will. I had Everlast do some duct cleaning. H&L at beer bank.

Sliver... seems like a cool guy to try and prank before a first meeting.

Oh, and winning FFSiE's raffle and meeting him at the brain tumor walk years ago, then realizing we were going to literally walk for the same team was kinda wild.

EDIT: Doh! How did I not realize I was introduced to CP by a few guys on CP that I used to play ball hockey with. I don't know their handles though.

I've met 5-10 I'd say.

- Shared a quarter share of season tickets for a couple seasons with someone when I first moved to Calgary - just one of the nicest people.

- Met someone through the power-circle and we've been working together on projects for 6 years now

- bought a gaming table for my cousin from someone on here. Again, a super nice guy

- I know a couple people who have self identified themselves in real life, but they don't know who I am

- bought an engagement ring and wedding band through Calgary Puck. Again super nice guy

- bought tires though calgarypuck

Online, I've also found the keyboard warriors antics by some members to be a real turnoff. But everyone I've met in real life have only been positive experiences with super genuine people.

I think getting that human interaction - even if it's just a few people - reminds people that the vast majority of people interacting on this board are decent people.

Bought jerseys from two fine gents when I was in Calgary and virtually sold tickets to another but sadly that is all for me. I would probably ruin the boys nights anyway :P

Three I think. Bought a camera from one, hockey tickets from another, and the third one I knew in real life before I joined.

I've met a couple people through cp directly. Most recently, surferguy let me try his cargo bike before I bought the same one. But I've also met quite a few people who I later found out were on CP.

Propagating cyclism should be a crime.

Has to be at least 50 or more. Cp Slow pitch, Buy/Sell, Draft nights, Czech Visits, etc. etc. Makes it both easier and harder to $*&tpost on CP!

Can somebody please type out Aeneas' username phonetically for me? I know I'm not the only one who read it as anus, but I honestly don't know how to say it.

Google's pronunciation audio snippets are handy.

A few dozen through buying or selling flames tickets on here or at pool drafts, in other words too many.

I’m kidding obviously. Every CP member I’ve ever met in person have always seemed to be pretty good people, even Dion and we don’t agree on hardly anything on here
