I didn't say it was a smart move.
It just feels like a move to appease Lamar.

It's the Ravens way to subtlely tell Lamar that they're okay guaranteeing 83% of a short term deal for an injury prone guy. Just not getting 100% on a long term deal.

He's only 30 years old but he's had two ACL surgeries on the same knee. Given he lost a bit of a step after the first surgery, one has to wonder how effective he's going to be after the 2nd surgery. He's had a year off to rehab but I don't see the value in this contract as given his injury question marks I expected he would see offers less than $10 million guaranteed on a one year deal. This seems to be more of a name signing to entice Jackson to sign the franchise tender or work out a contract.

Oh yes, spend 15m on a player who will be watching Lamar run the ball

OBJ may be a shell of what he once was, but he is better then nothing. I can't even name another WR on the Ravens.
There is also this.

Lions are trading former 3rd overall pick Jeff Okudah to the Falcons for a 5th round pick.
Devin White has requested a trade from the Bucs.

I know that no one actually watches the lions but why are they cutting bait on a top 3 pick for peanuts? He must be ass I guess?

YouTube is the new provider for Sunday Ticket and Red Zone in US. Pricing announced at $449 for St and $489 if you add RZ.
$100 off if you commit before June. Another $100 off if you sub to YouTube TV @ $80/month
Yikes

That sounds pretty expensive as DAZN is only $20/month for all that.

Snyder about to make so much money selling the WFT. 6.05 billion. Maybe the new owner comes swooping in looking to make a splash and creates a bidding war with Indy for Lamar, that’d be cool

Wait a year and if he replicates it then it's $60 million a season and $210 million guaranteed. Just the nature of QB contracts now. And obligatory "wow this makes Mahomes deal a bargain" that we get to say every time he gets pushed further down the ladder of top paid QBs. If he actually sees out the full 10 years he'll be in the bottom third of the league in annual pay.

Not sure about making a running Qb the highest paid player due to the injury risk.

I would take the gamble as you have two seasons to franchise him as there's been too many QB's that have had great seasons only to come down a level after especially a guy that runs the ball so much.
