I didn't see much mailing it in.

I saw some poor starts and chasing games, and coming up short often. No team is perfect in terms of execution or effort, but the 22/23 Flames didn't come across as a mailing it in team to me.

Working smart? Different question.

Last year I recall there were only a small handful of players that talked. Johnny, Chucky, Coleman and maybe 1-2 more. I hope we hear from the whole team today.

Definitely interested in Sutter and Treliving’s comments.

Hurt feelings cause the coach didn't tell him why his ice time was cut.

Do they have to bring their own garbage bags?

On a Murray Edwards owned team, probably.

And if they don't bring their own bags they have to carry all their equipment and belongings out bundled awkwardly in their arms hoping not to drop anything.

They should ask Markstrom how proud he is that he was one of the worst goalies in the NHL this year, and single-handedly tanked the Flames' playoff chances.

Salim asking how the players got along with Darryl. Good. Keep digging. But don't ask Lewis. He's Darryl's guy.

do you honestly believe Markstrom would say he had a good season? seriously, he knows he was bad for most of the year.

I don't see why. Everyone knows that goaltending was an issue. Do you want the players to publicly announce that their teammates were trash this year and cost them the season? Do you want the coach or GM who both have to continue working with these players moving forward (presumably until their either decide to leave or are fired) to throw them under the bus? What sacrifice on the public alter would satisfy you? Improving the goaltending does not start by publicly humiliating their goaltenders.

I agree. The Flames put a lot of effort out their most nights. Unfortunately, that effort seemed to be towards creating nice advanced stats, as opposed to actually putting the puck in the net. We habitually dominated the other teams in zone time and shots....Hooray!

Coleman has mentioned having nagging injuries a couple of times.

Backlund asked if he wants to be a Flame after net season. Very non committal. Oof.
