I would really like to see some pushback from reporters when the players and coaches are saying that they have really good goaltending. Two goalies with save percentages under .900 is not even close to good goaltending.

I like Markstrom a lot as a person, but the media in this city coddles him. He signed the big contract and demanded an NMC.

I'm also curious about Kadri. As much as his play fell off a cliff, I really do wonder about the lack of recovery last summer. Sutter said earlier in the season that he saw it with his Kings teams after Cup runs and it wasn't about a lack of effort. He's going to have to win back the fanbase, but I honestly do expect better from him next year. Competitiveness has been a calling card of his.

Lastly, I'm worried about Lindholm. He's such a key player and he didn't seem like he had any fun at all this year. Hopefully he's just lowkey and maybe tired from being a new father.

Ask each and every player how much they regret (or don't) mailing it in during their games against CBJ, ANA and CHI, among others.

Nobody has the balls to do that.

Other than the injury announcements, it's all talk at this point. I'm also assuming Wolf, Duehr, and Pelletier will not be participating as their seasons are not over.

The only noteworthy thing is that the players no longer have to do media in their Flames gear and will wear their own personal clothing/hats instead.

EDIT: I guess we'll hear from Lucic and Lewis as well; not expecting any retirement announcements but we'll see if they give any indication of their future plans.
