As you said, Zverev with the drive-by so I think that's fair game.

Medvedev asks the line judges to move out of the way before firing a ball against the back wall. Very polite from the Russian.
/Rune takes the opening set 6-3

You be the judge if something was lost in translation, but this is quite rich from Zverev - If the umpire allows a player to use the bathroom during a changeover and the player returns in time, what's the problem?

Holger Rune sends Medvedev packing 6-3 6-4. Tough turnaround for Meddy after that match against Zverev and you could tell he was running on fumes today. Full credit to Rune though, he played very well today.

lol, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? I seem to recall Zverev mucking around with bathroom breaks previously.

We don't even get to the latest episode of toiletgate if Zverev closes it out at 5-4 in set 2 on his serve. Zverev also served for the match at 5-4 in set 3, got broken and had two match in the 3rd set tie-break and couldn't cash in. I get that it's a tough loss, but that answer reeks of a guy that still struggles closing out matches against the top guys.

Oh, he definitely should've closed it out. This is a guy who was one set away from a maiden slam in New York against Thiem and choked that one away, too.

Medvedev taken care of by Rune. Not a big surprise, he would've only got to bed around midnight at best, then back on court the next afternoon. I don't know if they can even sleep with all that adrenaline from the match?

Still hate clay, but Rainier III might be the most beautiful stadium in tennis.

Yeah, obviously the tourney organizers wanted the two Italians to be the last match today as there is a large contingent of Italian supporters in Monte-Carlo, but that's a tough turnaround for Medvedev.

Sinner is looking to open the Italian bakery in this first set.
Edit: Musetti avoids the baked goods, but Sinner is looking terrific thus far.

There's an old saying that if you want to see the true character of a person that you should play a round of golf with them. I think it's also applicable to tennis with the handshake at the net and specifically with the actions of the loser of the tennis match.

Not sure what happened to Gabriel today (maybe just not feeling well), but he retired in the opening set in his match against Daniel Altmaier.

Not sure if anyone is watching the BJK Cup qualifier between Canada and Belgium (I'll be there in person on Saturday), but Leylah is up 5-love in the opening set over Wickmayer.
Edit: Leylah sends a Tim Horton's bagel to Team Belgium.
