It's almost like life isn't just what you post on the internet or something. Wild. Much to consider.

I agree, but in my opinion, not commenting is the better thing to do if the privacy of Oliver is the end goal. Regardless, we should all move on. Hope he is ok, but I sure do not feel very good about him being a strong core piece of this team anymore.

Silence sometimes in an anonymous forum seems more credible to me. It is what it is. I just cannot ever get behind the whole " I know what it is, but I won't share" narrative on these forums.
That is my point. I do not condone starting fake rumors. But the Flames, media, and Kylington opened the door for speculation. Not the internet.

Remember, Iamnotkenking did not jump in just to brag that he knows. He only posted specifically in response to an asshat who made a baseless claim. Nothing wrong with that, and it's not his (or her) place to share that information.
The Flames have been no comment so that's not an issue.

If this were the case, I would think the Flames would have at least loaned him to a team in Sweden so he could play, similar to how Columbus loaned Texier to a team in Switzerland. I also doubt it would have been kept so tightly under wraps if that was it. I also doubt the Flames would have decided to keep paying him the whole time. They likely would have suspended him.
Whatever obstacles he is facing, I hope he overcomes it. It would sure be nice to get some kind of news or closure on the prospect of him coming back for next season. The video of him working out that was released recently is encouraging at least.

Fair enough, I get the frustration at a fan level about it all. The reality is the Flames missed him way more than ever imagined. Starting rumors is the unfortunate part of some of this. I Hope Kylington is back, I guess we will see.

Uh well that’s a thing to say I guess if you want to and keep repeating it but the reality is they did share. They shared that it’s not a legal/border issue. That’s real info given out to address the BS claim made that it was, by a poster that often posts out there BS.
You do condone fake rumours if you have such a weird issue with them credibly being shut down.

Within days of the Kylington post on socal media Makar and O'Connner of the Av's are posted on social media rafting down the Bow River in Calgary with the Stanley Cup.
I'm thinking why isn't Kylington posting pictures of himself working out/training over the summer after getting blown out by the E=NG.
yes I know, cool story bro.
A few days ago on social media,a post of Kylington shows up and he is working out. As such the fans who have heard nothing all season long about the guy, is now on social media, and still no one from Calgary Sports media is reporting anything about this.
As fans on a fan site and Kylington positing on social media as a "public figure" who a many of us support indirectly by purchasing, tickets jersey's etc. Inquiring minds want to know.
Maybe if Kylington kept off social media this would not be a thing, however that is not the case.
Posters and Media that "know things" but won't tell you, is also not credible. Half the time they spew wrong/incorrect and unsubstantiated stuff regularly.

The only possible explanation for this is a family member is in a Coma and he wants to be nearby. There is no other conceivable reason to my mind. Hope it all gets resolved happily.

Does it matter if you’re into it or not?
Why is it the same people who seem to think rumours are inevitable are the same people happy to start them and under the impression people they don’t know owe them something?

I do find it odd.... given that people are naturally curious (and fans who sincerely wish him well).
In this day and age where athletes are often public about previously touchy areas like addictions or mental health struggles.
However, I will respect his privacy.
