This was a fun read. Talk about being completely out of touch with the young generation. Maybe if we go backwards in time with our policies, the young people will like us!

Okay, now I'm sure you are trolling. The examples of lose/loose and worse/worst in your posts are showing up more often. Why must you torture?

Lula in Shanghai saying he hopes to see the USD dominance replaced by trade in local currencies or even a BRICS+ currency backed by gold and commodities.

It would be the wearing a cheap ratty blonde wig and have her shout 'I've been a bad girl, punish me donny' all night that would get on my nerves

How do you think countries have fared with the USD standard the last few years?
As the American saying goes "The dollar is our currency, but it's your problem."

I think this really says it all:
Quote:
“Who decided that our currencies were weak, that they didn’t have value in other countries?” he said.
|
He doesn't seem to like that Brazil's currency has lost a lot of value against the USD. But when their money supply has tripled in the last 8 years or so, what does he expect? Any freely traded currency will lose value if your central bank creates too much of it. Pegging its value to something else doesn't fix that, as it just creates other distortions that can significantly reduce a country's purchasing power. And if they're using something like gold or commodities to peg it to, then that will make the volatility of a floating exchange rate currency look like small potatoes.

You have a problem? Don't consider foreign policy news in relation to the US as relevant?

Well, it's legitimately predictable at this point that you're going to carry water for whatever position the CCP would want heard on a board like this, which is borderline funny just so long as everyone knows the score.

If you have a specific accusation to make go ahead. No need to be coy.

Don’t get aggressive Johnny, it’s not exactly breaking news that you’re to china what Nage Waza is to Israel. Anytime anything is said about China you dive in like that Apu meme to defend it. No accusations implied, your reasonings are your own.

I must be missing where it has been made personal? You have a pretty strong posting history of supporting China and questioning the West. Which is your prerogative, of course, but pointing that out isn't "making anything personal".

I prefer to think of JohnnyB as anti US as opposed to pro China. The anti-US ends up causing the pro-China in my completely made up opinion of the poster.

Haha, I posted a link to an FT article and a summary of what the Brazilian president said. That was followed up by:

So, who was making this about China? I was sharing news about the US dollar regime.

Someone help me out here, what's the C in BRICS stand for?
Do you think you're posting on a board full of 12 year olds and that this isn't just another example of your posting pattern that we just won't immediately see?
We get it man. You're desperate for a CCP led hegemony. West bad, global south, etc. We all get it. Just know that we get it.
