CNN had found video of another soldier being beheaded by Russians and also context for when these occurred. In the second video Russians are heard saying they caught some Ukrainian when their APC ran over a mine. This lines up with three Ukrainian soldiers bodies found headless with a destroyed APC recovered by Ukrainian forces.
That's why the talk of ousting Putin is irrelevant. Just cut them out of the world the best you can. Kick out all the oligarch kids living in their luxurious Western apartments and send them home.
Putin is a product of the country.

When Muscovy started consolidating the surrounding people into the Russian identity, it really bothered them that Ukrainians diverged and didn't buy into it. A big part of that is because Ukraine was the heart and most culturally significant region. Kyiv was a large city and center of trade centuries before Moscow was even a collection of cabins in the forest.
The Russian identity is not really that old by European standards. The people considered Russian today were once just a collection of different groups that were slowly conquered or agreed to join together to form a collective identity. Ukrainians were one of those groups, but resisted joining the collective and have moved even further away over the centuries.
It's basically the Muscovy-Russia version of "Manifest Destiny". They believe that Moscow has a divine right or even duty to unite all the peoples they consider "Russian", and that as long as Ukraine holds out against that, it is an existential threat to them. There were Orthodox religious leaders in the past that pushed the idea that unless the divine calling to unite the Slav lands that were occupied by the Mongols was fulfilled, the next version of a Mongol horde will conquer them. It's a big part of the reason they have a "how dare you" attitude towards Ukrainians, and why some Russians refer to it as a holy war. They literally believe their defiance to assimilate into Russia threatens them.

Basically ^, post Soviet Russia in the 90s was a colossal cluster-fata and the populist Putin, with only a vague superficial version of history, rose to power selling Russian masses on the idea that it was their divine right to reclaim everything that was lost.
20 years of constant propaganda later, the elite started drinking their own kool-aid and here we are. Video below goes into it. Start at the 6:30 mark if you don't want to watch the whole thing.
All the smarter Russians have been gulag-ed, defenestrated, or fled now unfortunately.

turns out the document leaker is some idiot trying to earn clout with online friends; i hope they find this guy and charge him with treason.
These aren't years-old documents like the Snowden stuff, this is current stuff about an active war that actually shows how "inside" the US is into Russian's military and political circles. This guy just put thousands of lives in jeopardy

I really really hope that some of this intelligence is wrong and that the west's assessment of the upcoming counteroffensive, the lack of air defense capabilities and the personnel/equipment shortages are wrong.
If the US and the west held back additional equipment and support because of concerns with regards to Ukraine's ability to keep secrets or concerns with US military equipment falling into the wrong hands because of perceived corruption, than it's a disgrace with what's happened with these leaks.
All this delaying has done nothing but get hundreds of thousands of additional people killed, injured, displaced and altered their lives forever.
If the intelligence is correct, than we have a big problem on our hands. Hopefully the west has a plan to actually defeat and expel Russian from Ukraine and get order restored in some capacity.
Depending on what you are a talking about a lot of it was altered. What the kid that got arrested originally did post is real. I'm guessing Ukrainians are having real AA shortages, and the shell shortage is real too. 11 EU country's entire artillery manufacturing yearly output can't currently keep up with the rate shells are being fired a month and the new contract got delayed. Ukrainians are going to be short on shells.
