Nice way to finish the season. It was cool how they kept it light at the Dome with lots of upbeat music and not as much heavy “hype” music. Great debuts for the kids and a feel-good hatty to cap off the season.
I think we are in for big changes. Crazy to go from “winning the off-season” to missing the playoffs. After that hot start, this team never looked right.

All we needed to do was beat the worst team in the league a few days ago and likely just hang on for a minute or two in another game this year where we blew a lead.

All I keep thinking is why was Sutter sitting Pelts down the stretch when clearly he's a better player with more jump and enthusiasm than Nick Ritchie.
#### you Sutter!

Bad luck, no Kylington, uncharacteristically bad seasons by their new top line players adjusting to new markets, and weak goaltending. All that and they missed by just 2 points.
Treliving is too thoughtful and methodical to blow up this roster.
I'd trade Markstrom and Kylington personally. No reason to keep them around with Wolf being a beast and literally anything being better then the vacancy Kylington left.
I agree. Really good game considering is his first professional game ever. Wolf also looked really good. He is so freaking quick. He looks like he is in fast forward.
I loved seeing Zadorov getting a hatty as well.
It sucks to miss the playoffs, but it was good to have a few nice moments on the ice to wrap it up.

Ironic part is I think if they got to play the way they last year Tkachuk would have been the perfect winger for Huberdeau. I could see him hitting 50 and then getting over 100 easily.

Wait a second…you can badly outshoot a team AND win the goaltending battle? It isn’t one or the other?
Boy, that information would have been handy to know 3 months ago.
They really didn't give San Jose much though. Wolf made some solid saves but they did a good job not making stupid mistakes and forcing him to make ten bellers. The result not meaning anything in the standings probably helped because they didn't have to worry about thinking too much and could just play like it was still preseason.
As far as the shots that was another game where they just threw everything at the net and ran the shot clock up.
