So, I figured who else to ask but CPers.
I did a search back to last year when there were a few suggestions thrown about...but I'm looking to get them all in one place here.
Were going for about 10 days...staying a couple days in each spot...and are looking for nice scenery...not TOO busy and being close to points of interest doesn't hurt.
The places we're specifically looking at visiting are:
Canmore-Banff-Lake Louise Area
Rocky Mountain House-Sylvan/Gull lake area
Rural Edmonton Area (But not any further north)
Drumheller Area
Rural Calgary Area
Any suggestions are welcome though, plans aren't set in stone just yet.
Thanks in advance!

You can head out west of Longview, to the Junction, then south. Cataract Creek is nice, falls close by, easy hike. Just keep going south, you will hit Etherington, Livingstone - falls here too, nice fishing east side of road and campground, some nice pools to swim in too if you can handle the cold water, Oldman, Dutch Creek, you will come out by the Crowsnest. There are bear at Livingstone, Oldman and Dutch Creek, but nothing we have ever had a problem with, just watch your garbage etc.

What type of camping (RV, trailer, tent-trailer, tent)?

Kinda depends if you are tenting or if you have a trailer? For example in the Banff area it gets really cold at night.
Ole MacDonald Farm by Stellar is good has a lake near by, has a great golf coarse very close.
There is Pine Lake, Drumheller has two good camp grounds.
In the Calgary area there is a bunch of them (i.e. Carsland, a few by Bragg Creek etc..).

I've always liked Two Jack Lake (Lakeside campground) out by Banff.

You can tent in any of the areas I mentioned, Cataract down to the Crowsnest.

About 30 minutes from Drumheller- close enough that you can go into town to see the dinosaurs. (Or if you forget anything and have to hit Canadian Tire, like I did.)
They also have a trout pond, good if you are into fishing.

Check this site out: Gateway to Alberta's Parks
You can do various different searches to find the type of campground you’re looking for.
