Again, giving up a hit to Ohtani is going to happen. Keep the rest of the lineup in check and you're fine. Swanson did the job well.

Each out involved great plays by each OF. Love seeing it.

I'm imagining Teoscar on that last play and it's not pretty.
Defense is important to winning a lot of games. I like this strategy.

Romano trying to look intense is kinda humorous. Definitely not intimidating.

You watch a game like this and understand why the Angels keep losing year after year.

Bassitt looked quite good and confident after the first inning. Now Berrios is the only starter left who hasn't had a good outing. I have less confidence of that happening tonight but here's hoping.

Confidence is a funny thing. Easy to lose it, hard to gain it back suddenly. It's likely baby steps for Berrios, working one thing at a time. If he falters today, I think the bullpen should be the place where he gives quality relief innings and builds from there.

This is a decent piece on what could possibly be going on with Berrios. Basically he needs a new pitch. His two seamer and four seamer are really similar in shape, velocity and spin rate, and his two off speed pitches are are slurve and a change up with similar velocity and not a ton of movement. Then the issue of his pitches catching too much of the plate. Hitters can sit on fast or slow because that’s essentially what his pitches amount to.
