Looks like Vladdy had his toe on the bag...or not.

Thankfully the double play made it a moot point.

Bassitt needs to find the strike zone. 5 walks is not great.

Seemed obvious on replay . Weird . Doesn’t matter luckily

Jays wake up you’ve made a ton of mistakes and we’re only through 4

Everyone argues for video replay in al sports, but I haven’t seen in any sport that even video replay can get more calls right.

It’s 100% clear from the replay that his foot is touching the bag.

Double play immediately after makes it not matter though.

Does Kiermaier win a silver slugger award to go along with all his gold gloves?

.
90-% of the time in baseball and NFL the instant replay is correct

Hockey is weirder cause a lot (goalie interference) are still judgement calls Vs black and white

Now I thought it looked like Vladdy had his foot on the base , but at the end of they up held the call on the field . Is what it is

Since they just mentioned that "Catch bar" feature at the new dome, I had to go back to one of my favorite Jays moments ever. It all starts with an incredible catch by Devon White, one of the purest center fielders this team ever had. It ends in what is clearly a triple play that was missed by the umps. In keeping with the replay discussion so far.

It would be great if Kirk could do something here.

Narrator: He did not.

Something's not right with him to start the year. He's not squaring up much.

*yawn* not a great ballgame so far. Jay's hanging around but just not getting that big hit.

Great to see Bassitt put things together…although the Angels have a pretty poor lineup outside of Trout and Ohtani.

100+ pitches in just the second start? That's rare

That counts as a quality start. Good for Bassitt. Sets things up for the rest of the series for the bullpen.

Something tells me Luplow will not be long for this team.

Honest question: Is Luplow better than anyone we have in the minors?
