So many ways in which it could go. And we need just the right permutation to get in.

I would advise we lower our expectations and disengage emotions as much as possible.
I did that around Christmas time.

I would say that we need a Predators victory today so they don't mail it in Saturday against the Jets.

But do we want them to get on a roll? I'm so conflicted.

We control our destiny vs the Preds, even if they go 4-1, with us going 3-0 with us beating them. We need someone to take a minimum 3 points from the Jets, and the Preds I think are most likely to take some if they have a meaningful 4 point game vs Winnipeg on Saturday.

All that to say, I am cheering for Nashville tonight and tomorrow, and then no more! : )

Teams who are out of the picture play loose. Therefore we want the Perds to lose so they play without pressure vs Jets.

However, teams that are this close and play with a chip on their shoulder, then get eliminated, will be gutted. Therefore we want to Perds to win.

In conclusion, wear sunscreen.

The Preds are going to be up for the Jet game regardless, we don't need them to win tonight

I want to say yes, Flames could technically activate him in time for playoffs and pull a Kucherov but whether they would if he hasn't played all season or had significant ice time is the question. I kinda doubt it but I do feel like we need that Kylington-Tanev pairing back.

There were only two Kraken games in your post, the other three have been added to make the 100 point projection.

I agree but we could beat them in OT or shootout and that leaves a door for them to go 4-0-1 and still beat us for the spot.

If Nashville drops at least 1 point somewhere, it at least opens up the OT win for the Flames vs them.

As much as I want the Flames to make the Playoffs, I want to see Matt Coronato play in at least the last TWO games...

Why not both? Let him get a taste of playoff hockey.

After the Preds' win tonight...

NSH: 8
CGY: 8 (Flames likely get the tiebreaker)

WPG: 6 Jets now own the tiebreaker
CGY: 9

Only good thing about Nashville winning last night is they will be motivated against Winnipeg on Saturday.

It plays into the flames' hands, as long as they can beat Nashville head to head.

That be nice but we all know we've got a Stubborn Coach in Sutter who'll ride his vets during the playoffs.

What coach is going to put in an unproven rookie in this scenario though? Unless there are big injury problems.
