Some of those replies from Oilers (???) fans.... stay in your lane. Are they upset because it's factually correct that the Cavs are Alberta's soccer team?

Kits looked better in person than they did in the leak I saw. Take the lightning bolt away and that black kit is real nice. Probably the worst set we've had but can't hvae bangers every year I guess
When I saw the leak a couple of weeks ago I felt the same way. I haven't seen them in person yet, but Howie_16 was there, and yourself of course, and both of you say that they are better in person.
I'd still put them at the bottom of the pile of Cavalry kits, after last year's being the top. But that's the beauty of soccer - there's always something new coming next season.
One small concern that I have is that both options are quite dark - black and "quite black". I'm from the old school and would like to see the "colour clash" kits to have a bit more imagination and contrast. It makes for better viewing on TV and in the stands. But I also know that black sells really well and it is easy for fans to wear out and about, so I get it.
Thankfully the off-season is nearly over, so my time-filling hot fashion takes will soon be replaced!

Edmonton is pretty butt hurt over the "We are Alberta" line in this marketing. If only they showed this much passion when they had a club it would still be around...

I don't think that the wording is a coincidence. Nor were the events and training in Red Deer. Cavalry and CPL are still pretty small potatoes on most people's radar, but putting down some roots in the void left behind by Edmonton is clever, and it might pay dividends in the coming years.
I like these kits. Don't like the black on the home jersey (at least that amount of it ), but overall they're completely fine to me. I don't even mind the lighting bolt, nice to see them try something new with the branding.
Overall, I don't put much stock into kits. They change every year, so I don't really get emotionally invested in them or care that much. That said, I will say the sash on the 2019 jerseys is still the most legendary.
I might be in the minority on this part, but I don't care for the mountain range at the bottom either.
The red kit looks more like something that belongs on a lacrosse team or in a 90s era MLS team. Cavs have such a classic, clean looking symbol. Lean into that.

The sash was amazing and had that old school, hungry young team with presence vibe. I want it back on all future kits. I will die on this hill too.

give me the white sash or give me death.
A proper red (not orangy-red) shirt with a white sash would be legendary and would sell like hotcakes. A nod to the original kit, but better. Simple. You're welcome, Cavs marketing folks.
But like others say - we'll get something different next year. Nothing to worry about. They can run around in pink lightning bolt pinnies and I'd still be stoked to get back to Spruce Meadows.

I was literally discussing this with the club last night. All they have to do is design the original kit with the proper red, maybe mix up the neckline / sleeves and boom. Best seller.

My personal rankings of the Cavalry kits so far:
Home Kits
1. 2019 Orangey Reds (A proper red = Perfection!)
2. 2022 Reds (A completely white sash = Perfection!)
3. 2023 Reds
4. 2020 Reds (Still a good jersey)
5. 2021 Reds (Not a good jersey. Boring, but I liked the addition of green accents)
Away Kits
1. 2022 Greens (Love the red accents on the collar & sleeves)
2. 2020-21 Blacks (I like the use of the red crest on a black background)
3. 2023 Blacks (I'm still not ready to accept lightning bolts after the trauma of June 2004, but I do like the red & green accents over the red & gray accents of the 2020-21 version)
4. 2019 Greens (Still a good jersey. Not a fan of the collar)

4-0 win for Cavalry over FC Tigers. 2 goals by Myroniuk, and from Cantave and Beckford. Noticed El Gandour in the IG story and Myroniuk getting a brace, so wonder if El Gandour signs a USports contract and Myroniuk a Dev contract?
Stadium looked about half full when I drove by around 2:30, so that's maybe 1200?
Unfortunately the turf monster got Mason, hopefully nothing serious and he was pulled as a precaution. Bevan is going to be a menace and Beckford looks like a smart signing. Myroniuk is going to be a player for sure.
Noticed how Alarcon was tucking inside a lot when Cavs had possession like what Zinchenko does for Arsenal and how Bevan and Beckford were both taking the same J shaped runs to close down defenders to take away the back pass so there are definitely a few new wrinkles the coaching staff has been working on. Good to see
I thought Shome was arguably the best player on the pitch. Very composed in the midfield.
And a bit of a missed opportunity not have any merch or ticket info or really any info on Cavalry there. The kits look way better on the players and it could’ve been a good chance to make some sales

One week from the start of the season here's how I see the table shaping up.
1. Forge
2. Pacific
3. Ottawa
4. Cavalry
5. York
6. Vancouver
7. Halifax
8. Valour
2023 Cavalry look a lot like the 2022 Cavalry that struggled after Pepple and Loturi left, and it was all like-for-like replacements, so I don't see how we are any more than a playoff team. Barring a surprise baller #10 being unveiled this week it's a similar squad on paper to the last two years. Playoff team for sure though.
