The loss to the Hawks was a bummer but is not a killer. Between LA 2-1 win that got things rolling (back on track) and the final game against SJ, losing 1 (and only 1) is not shellshocking. The fact it was yesterday is a surprise, but with how things have gone perhaps not that big of a surprise. Win tonight then the final 3 games, WPG stumbles (they lose confidence after tonight's loss..) and we're in!

That is true, but if the Flames were sitting 2 points up on the Jets after tonight's game. The pressure would have been on the Jets.

We win tonight, and maybe win out and hope for some help.

Flames win tonight in convincing fashion I can get back behind their hopes. They did have a hell of a game after the last hawks home loss and won the second half of a back to back against Seattle on the road.

If the Flames can get a nice win over Winnipeg the doubt could creep back in for the Jets. Just like how the Hawks have had the Flames number the Sharks have had the Jets and they do play again. The minny and Colorado games could be tough as well. A 1-4 finish for the Jets is possible and the Flames can go 4-0 or even 3-1 and make it but they need to win tonight or it is curtains.

I am predicting a big first period for the team tonight, getting up a couple goals at least. Then we'll have to ride out the desperation of the Jets and fatigue. Will need a big game from our goalie, time for Marky to truly steal one for us.

But they still have a shot, so dare to dream, what else is there.

I think last night was a sucker punch to the gut for many of us. It will take some time to recover.
A gut punch for sure, but it has been a weird year for the Flames.

They have 0 wins this season against Chicago, Detroit, and Montreal. Three bottom feeders. 2 of a possible 14 points.

They ran Boston’s show at the Dome and have winning records against LA, Dallas, Florida, Minnesota, Seattle, Vegas, and both NY teams. 33 of a possible 46 points.

Kind of disappointed our final game is vs SJ then, those two points against a bottom feeder should be crucial

Jets are 4-6-1 this season vs their final 4 opponents (,409%) so about 3 points

Cgy 5-2-1 this season vs their final 3 opponents (,688%) so 4 points.

Buckle up!

Whatever happens, happens, but I have to say that despite this being probably the most frustrating season in history to follow, it is nice having meaningful / important / fun games in April. This is basically our playoffs. Making it would be so sweet, but, even this little battle / playoff race is pretty fun.

Having no room for error is... I mean... yeah. REEEEEEALLY could use Kadri stepping up here...
