Didn't Ezra Levant & Rob Anders go to U of C..........
Yup, Ezra was the exact same way. He'd stand on the "speakers corner" stage thing in Mac Hall and scream at people walking by like the creepy pastor from Poltergeist II. Just let me have my Kobe Beef or Delhi Deli in peace you creepy fro having weirdo.
Zero chance Bexte hasn't been groomed (for journalism only obviously).

Oh Delhi Deli
Thank you for that.
Such a great place. I always got a plate of saffron rice and during exams they would put free curry on it.
I great little place that is gone.
I think a Math Professor ran it.

Found this definition a few days back about the current state of conservatives and how they govern
"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

New Ledger Poll released, NDP 47 vs. UCP 44. Poll was conducted between the Mar 24-27th, before Danielle Smith's leaked phone call with Artur Powlowski and unethical influence on an ongoing prosecution became public.
Interesting findings
Quote:
If a provincial election were held today, 47% of decided voters would vote for the NDP and 44% would vote for the UCP.
36% of Albertans believe Rachel Notley would make the best Premier of Alberta, followed by Danielle Smith (29%).
53% of Albertans feel things in Alberta are going in the wrong direction.
68% of Albertans think the level of crime and violence in Alberta has gotten worse compared to pre-pandemic.
Albertans think socioeconomic conditions (39%), drug addiction (38%) and insufficient penalties (36%) are the top reasons for the increase of crime and violence in Alberta.
58% of Albertans disagree with the idea of creating a provincial police force to replace the RCMP in communities they currently police.
Fixing the cost of living and improving health care delivery are the two most important issues to Albertans when thinking about which party to vote for in the upcoming provincial election.
Through Budget 2023, Travel Alberta will receive $10 million over two years to develop environmentally sustainable year-round experiences in regions outside of Alberta’s most popular destinations. Funding will be used to increase awareness of and visitation to lesser-known tourism destinations across Alberta that have a high potential for growth.
I had a good laugh when I read this. Why? Well, about a month ago in Canmore I was at the Nordic Centre and the parking was half full of Alberta Parks trucks. I talked to one of the guys, and they were in Canmore for a week having their yearly conference. I thought it was pretty ridiculous they'd choose Canmore to do this, given the cost of staying in tourist town, but I guess that's not their money paying for it.
I even said to my family at the time "why wouldn't they choose a smaller town that is absolutely dead and could use the economic boost in hotels and restaurants? Why choose one of the most expensive, busiest town in the province for this?" Just careless decisions I guess. So it's pretty funny to see that juxtaposed with this announcement.
^ Alberta Parks and Travel Alberta are two entirely different organizations.
I doubt there has been an internal mandate with quasi-government orgs to support smaller economies instead of just the big tourism hubs (but you’re right, maybe there should be).

Somebody sell me on an how an NDP party that is known for raising taxes, being anti-business and supporting defunding the police are going to make the cost of living more affordable for Albertans and tackle skyrocketing violent crime in the cities? Typical NDP policy seems to support these things getting worse quickly.
Have they talked policy? Done 180? Whats Notleys plan here? What am I missing?

I too would like someone to explain, in detail, why my worldview, based purely on my own perception, is wrong, while I put no effort whatsoever into considering it and promise to probably, maybe, but also probably not be convinced by any information provided because I am ultimately not open to changing my mind.
