Followed my gut instead of my plan for goaltending. Not sure it would have mattered. We are in tough now and must win two straight to win this series.

Sadness.
Another Dman injury and we play with 5 on the backend for the final half of the game.
Probably didnt matter anyway though as John Gibson (who kicks stray dogs and should be tested for PEDs) stood on his head and blanked us. We tried quite a few combinations of lines/strategy but simply could not figure out how to beat the Devils.
Yet another 1st round exit for the Flyers.

Congrats to Pat on an easy win.
Thanks to the commish team for all their time spent on running yet another fun season.
And good luck to all those left in the hunt!!

Leafs live to fight another day, with a couple of guys hovering around 96 CON that I forced into the lineup. Because they have heart. Unlike that coward Darnell Nurse.

Crazy series. Congratulations to Rumy, being competitive all year and winning the Conference. It's not easy taking over a team, and you came out flying. My goalies upped their game significantly this week, and I think that was the difference, being able to play Reimer and Quick without a big drop in value.

I don't know why I was trying to trade Landeskog. Game winning goal, 5 shots, 9 hits, in under 16 minutes of play. My best player this series.

Next series, I get to swap out Ian Mitchell for Miro Heiskanen, off of injury.

Sharks laid the boots to the Stars in this one. We really didn't take advantage of a fatigued Anderson...see if we can do better back in Dallas for game 6.

Damn, the dream is over. Well, I did a lot better than I expected.

Being a first year GM with a team that had been depleted by previous management, I scavenged the FA market, made a few trades and put together a solid team that finished 1st in the West in the regular season: not too bad I must say! With a focus on defense, we ended up winning a lot of close games in the regular season but just could not continue that trend in the playoffs. Perhaps not enough focus on scoring... lesson will be learnt. Also, the goalie fatigue is unreal in the playoffs! Not sure why Bob was dropping 2 CON every night, but another hard lesson to learn for next season.

Altogether though, we were outplayed by a better team: congrats HarryLime & the Kings on a solid series win! Hope you take it all the way to the cup!

Great first year and looking forward to my second off season to build an even better team for years to come! Go BLUES!

Chris Krieder and JT Miller continue to up their game in the playoffs.
Very happy with acquiring John Gibson this season, his sim performance is paying off. Although I am fully expecting a decrease in ratings next season I wanted a sim goalie going into the playoffs for this exact reason.

Very happy to come out of the first round healthy and with the large amount of shots against this series it will be nice to have some rest days for my goalies.

Congrats to Jon on a great series. Flyers were one of the teams I did NOT want to play in the playoffs so I was concerned going into our series but thankfully the sim gods came through.

Can we solve 78 year old Craig Anderson? That is the key to victory for us.
