I ask myself this every game I watch him play. It really is like watching a train wreck. A train wreck that managed to score 35 times last year. He has to be the 9th wonder of the world or something. The professional athlete who has no athletic ability whatsoever.

Thank god neither of those dudes played tonight.
To be fair neither of them are good

The problem is the one that are supposed to be good are no good

It’s exactly my point , Calgary flames fans are expecting nothing more than being losers.

You really shouldn't take sports so seriously. It's just entertainment, nothing more. In the grand scheme of things it's really not that important at all. Go outside and go for a walk. You'll feel better.

They should bench him but with so few games you risk losing the room. Sutter should have dealt with this sooner, which is something he wasn't afraid to do in the past. It has been a weird season with the way Sutter has gone about things. Too man veteran players have been passengers this season.

Huh.

No speed added to the lineup, Kadri played slow enough that time almost reversed and Markstrom wasn't great but honestly this should have been Vladar's start with the Jets game tomorrow.

Speaking of which you just know they'll win tomorrow, give everyone one last dose of hope and then get #### kicked by the Canucks on Saturday.
Thought all game the Flames were the slower team. No one really skated except the Backlund line and Hanifin.

The fastest forwards on the team are Dube (middle 6 dude), Duehr (bottom 6 rookie) and Coleman (defensive forward). That’s not ideal.

As fans we all have our expectations. This last run the team was on gave us a chance to cheer for something and while we may not make it to the dance, I was enjoying the ride.

So if they get blasted tomorrow hopefully they’ll give some young players some ice time.

Wolf
Coronato
Pelletier
Zary?

Lets see what we have.

Maybe he’ll watch the highlight pack because they will be showing both of them for sure.

Thats 4, I said I couldn’t come up with 5

5 out of 55 is a far cry from 50% Kipper in his prime

He’s been horrendous .

Fair.

I’m saying that the team sucks, and has sucked all year. Cute push, but they suck.

Cheer for dramatic change. They aren’t close. If lindholm was a top line C, Huberdeau was a top line W. mangiapane/dube were top 6 wingers. If Andersson/hanafin/weegar we’re truly top4 d, if markstrom was really a starter level goalkeeper in the league, then wow we have a team.

But those things aren’t true.

And IMO it made pretty clear what needs to happen next year. And it’s not a lot needed to make the team successful.

Better goaltending: Wolf and/or rebound year from Markstrom - certainly possible.
Better consistent goalscoring: Toffoli late in the season and Huberdeau coming on give me hope.
Better OT play: Their last OT was good anyway.

It's pretty easy to lose respect for players who do that. Like Mike Smith who always used "we" instead of "I" when he had a bad game.

I didn't want Kadri last summer but warmed up to him at the start of the year when he actually looked like he cared. That was short lived until I went back to wanting no part of him. And if his laziness has to do with Sutter that just shows how selfish he is.

I thought they were pressing too much and taking too many chances. With the game tied I thought they'd be a bit cautious until they got a break.

Ok so maybe quit making a mountain out of a molehill. I'm talking about recent games not the whole season. It was a simple misspeak when I'm trying desperately to look at things from a half glass full perspective and there's barely any water in the glass...
