Haven’t been a Markstrom fan all season but I get the logic of going with him. He’s your star goalie paid big money. Most coaches wouldn’t leave him on the bench with the season on the line. For whatever reason he just can’t perform this season. The choice to go to Vladar would be easier if he significantly outplayed Marky this year but both have been below average. I don’t think many other coaches would have played the backup in this situation. Like Sutter said it’s game 7, he would expect (and I’m sure most of us would agree) that if there was anytime for your star goalie to step up it would have been tonight.

How is Mangiapane a NHL player with no ability to skate or stay on his feet. That contract is ugly for a 15-18 hard worker who falls over every shift.

If the Flames get in, it's going to be because the Jets found a way to not get in. Flames just don't look interested in making the playoffs. Since we all know the life of a Flames fan, I'm sure we will win tomorrow, win against the Canucks on Friday, then proceed to lose the next two when everyone is sucked back into believing
