We're all making judgements here. I'm not any different. Nor am I dying on a hill that it was a terrible move, but I really think they were intent on getting a lot of LHBs was based on the shift ban. Biggio should've been shipped and if they wanted LHBs they should've got proven bats. Lots of uncertainty with a lot of things hoping to line up.

Obviously a ton of runway left but yeah, none of this is good.

That's what I'm saying. So many bloop hits. It was a once in a lifetime one game bloops. They really have to settle down.

Good thing they brought Pop in.

Gets demolished on that pitch.

9-1 after 6.

It's obviously very early, but it would be nice to not get pummeled in some of these games to start the year.

4 games without a homerun, or really much hard contact at all is also a concern.

Something like that gets hidden if it happens mid season but it’s so magnified right now and could spiral if it doesn’t get fixed quickly.

In 3 out of 4 games, they've given up 9 runs. Ouch.

It feels a bit like they haven’t figured out their identity. They are trying to play like the TB Rays but they just aren’t built that way.

Guerrero working walks with the bases loaded just isn’t what this team needs. Patting him on the back for taking walks is just stupid. He needs to do damage with his bat. Biggio, Merrifield, and Kiermaier should be working walks and Guerrero should be swinging.

This team is not the Rays. They are neutering their bats by their approach.

Naa, I think anytime you can get a base you do so. That's me personally. That's why the pitcher pitched him out - thought he'd chase because he's the man on the team. Vlad had the right approach there I think at least.

He can't be chasing pitches out of the zone though

Jays squandering massive opportunities has also been a theme so far.

As a flames fan, I don’t know if I can stomach hearing “the process” all year from

Guerrero doesn’t have the same type of hitters to pass the baton to this year. He has to be the guy when he gets the chance.

but you can't chase bad pitches

it's the team's responsibility to have a good bat behind him, not his

He’s had a few opportunities with guys in scoring position this season and he hasn’t had an aggressive enough approach IMO. There are certain guys where working a walk is a win and Guerrero isn’t really one of them.
