I didn't think of chemistry issues. Personally I think that you move heaven and earth to sign lindholm. 9M range is a comfortable hit.
The only players who played well together were dube-lindy-toffoli, and that's a top line that doesn't strike fear.
I think that you have to put huberdeau and lindy together, and find a true sniper (coranoto?) to complete the line. That's why I see mangiapane as the odd man out, with kadri-dube on the se one line, potentially with Pelletier.

There is hardly a worse year for the Flames to rebuild.

With every team jockeying for draft picks, I think that it's a good year for hockey trades.

If you keep Lindy at least into the start of the season you can go
Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli
Mangiapane-Kadri-Dube
Pelletier-Backlund-Coleman
Zary-Ruzicka-Duehr
See how it goes. If it goes well, your pending UFAs may be workable. See who gels.

I also think Fantilli is likely to be a instant impact player. Any of those 6 teams get him they likely are better than the Flames. Especially if Lindholm wants out and is moved. Can't replace him at that salary and their cap situation.

As for Bedard, we shall see (well, we probably won't)
As for Fantilli, he wasn't even an impact player in the WJC. Let's let him develop a bit before we assume he will make his team better than the Flames (see: Hughes, Kakko, Lafreniere, Byfield, Power, Beniers, Slafkovsky, Nemers)

Which does nothing for the Flames trading UFA’s to be for draft picks.

Why does anyone think Markstrom will be alright next season? After this season is over that will be a year and a half he's been terrible. Arguably worst player on the team. There's every reason to believe he can't recover, and it's all but a paycheque at this point. Get what you can for him from a team like Seattle who's looking to take that next step and may want to gamble a bit. The guy shouldn't be part of the future because there's no confidence after Edmonton of all teams spanked him last playoffs.

No, it won't. He was underwhelming against the Oilers but that was what? 2 weeks?

If you have a partner point them out is my problem with markstrom. As I said I think in the foreseeable some names aren’t going anywhere. What do we do with the rest?

Umm...if I pull the stats from January 1, 2022 to end of season last year, he had a 0.874 SV%, and 2.96GAA. I think that would qualify for a year and a half, no? Having McDavid stuff him in the playoffs was the cherry on top.

16-8
3 SO
He had some bad games but so did Shesterkin with one of them being a 6-0 Flames win.
The guy had a good regular season and a good series against Dallas but along with the rest of the team had a bad series against the Oilers.

The 16-8 speaks more to the team performance. The GAA speaks more toward his. I don't think he looked great against Dallas, but just alright. Shaky some games. Anyway, point being is I think he's done.

Reason I think we’re stuck with him unless it’s another struggling player swap kind of thing.
I’m hoping for .910 kind of thing

Oh, no doubt it would be hard. This past off-season it would be a sure thing that a team would take him and they'd pay bank to get him. After this season where he's been terrible there's little chance another team would take a stab unless there was a big sweetener. I'd just call sunk cost and relegate him to backup.

Not necessarily. GAA can be reflective of the team just as much as the goalie.

Here's my scenario breakdown.
Mangiapane for York and picks.
Hanifin for zadina and picks.
Picks from first two for lundstrom.
Vladar for extra bonus picks.
Keep toffoli as a Coronato placeholder.
Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli
Pelletier-Kadri-Dube
Zadina-Backlund-coleman
Ruzicka-lundstrom-duehr
Weegar-Andersson
York-tanev
Kylington(zadorov)-unknown defensive d
Markstrom
Wolf
Younger, faster, stronger

True. Shots against were around 26 per game but again, his GAA was piss poor. Mostly not endorsing of his great play by any stretch.

But again that could be just as much reflective on the team as him. It's not always about how many shots you give up either.

No, it's the quality of chances, you're not wrong, but without researching into where the shots were taken from, his GAA says he was piss poor. That stat generally says something about his play.

I'm not sure what stats you're looking at in that range but it turns out I miscalculated his record in that range and it was even better.
23-9-4
2.33 GAA
.918 SV%
4 SO
He was nominated for the Vezina with a 2.22 GAA so I wouldn't call a 2.33 GAA "piss poor".
