Brett Ritchie - 4 points in 8 games since the trade (2g, 2a), +1 rating.
Mackey - 2 points in 12 games since the trade (2a), 0 rating.
Nick Ritchie - 3 points in 9 games since the trade (3g), -5 rating.
Stecher - 3 points in 12 games since the trade (1g, 2a), -2 rating.
Seems like a pretty even and inconsequential trade so far.

I hope we see Stecher back next year. He fits in great for a bottom pair on a team with little to no defensive prospects to fill those roles.

If he takes a pay cut. I personally don't see him as more than 6/7 guy at this point.

Stecher is the best player in that trade.

This is one of those weird deadline day deals that makes some other teams look dumb. Both guys acquired for basically nothing, here's how they rank among other deadline-ish acquisitions. Keep in mind I'm only including everyone else that was acquired using a first or second round pick, so at significant cost to their team:
Forwards
Tarasenko (NYR): 7 G, 9 A, 16 P
Niederreiter (WPG): 6 G, 4 A, 10 P
Kane (NYR): 5 G, 5 A, 10 P
Meier (NJD): 6 G, 3 A, 9 P
Bertuzzi (BOS): 3 G, 6 A, 9 P
Domi (DAL): 2 G, 4 A, 6 P
N. Ritchie (CGY): 4 G, 1 A, 5 P
O' Reilly (TOR): 3 G, 2 A, 5 P (in 8 games, then injured)
Hathaway (BOS): 3 G, 2 A, 5 P
Eller (COL): 3 G, 1 A, 4 P
Granlund (PIT): 1 G, 3 A, 4 P
Jeannot (TBL): 1 G, 3 A, 4 P
Greenway (BUF): 3 G, 0 A, 3 P
Defensemen
Orlov (BOS): 3 G, 11 A, 14 P
Sandin (WAS): 1 G, 12 A, 13 P
Ekholm (EDM): 3 G, 8 A, 11 P
Stecher (CGY): 2 G, 4 A, 6 P
Gavrikov (LAK): 1 G, 5 A, 6 P
Chychrun (OTT): 2 G, 3 A, 5 P
McCabe (TOR): 1 G, 2 A, 3 P
Hronek (VAN): 0 G, 1 A, 1 P (in 4 games, then injured)
Schenn (TOR): 0 G, 0 A, 0 P
Other observations are that the Jeannot trade was as ridiculously dumb as everyone thought (at least so far) and Toronto's defense shuffle doesn't really look great, with Sandin performing nicely in Washington so far.

Really hoping Kylington is on the road to recovery and can come back next season, but if not Stecher would be a great replacement. He’s been really good from my eye test.

He's been productive but they should keep in mind how sheltered he's been.
I mean sheltered. Like 10% of his ice time against elite competition vs Zadorov at 19% and Gilbert at 17%
They're not using him as a over the boards rotating third pairing.
Ironically Nick Ritchie is off the charts sheltered as well (9% vs Dueher the next lowest at 16%)

I think Stetcher has really added a bit of that element that Klyington has. Being able to push and skate the the puck forward has really helped.

Stetcher is surprisingly shifty on his skates. Gets pucks in deep instead of blasting them at opponents shinpads.

That’s good to know. It makes sense why he’s looked so good through my eyes. Credit to Sutter I guess for finding a way to play him to his strengths.

Someone else pointed it out, but Stetcher has brought a lot of what we would've expected from Kylington this season.
It really goes to show how OK would've helped this team / the vital role he could've played in the transition game that was missing.

If we're going to continue singing his praises, can we spell his name right at least?
Troy Stecher.
There's only one t in the last name.

Sutter has mentioned how Steiger still needs to work on handling the speed of the game. I think the club is doing a good job of handling him and getting the most from him.
Is sure like to see Tanev back against Winnipeg.

Better than Kylington from what I have seen. More consistent and physical.
I would bet they grabbed him knowing Kylington wasn’t coming back.

Tanev is going to need some time to heal after this season is through. He’s always beat up one way or another.
