Remember how the formation of the UCP was tainted by the suicide campaign, and now here we are going into another election and still have no idea what the outcome of that investigation was? Well I think we are seeing why we need these things resolved quickly, politicians can get away with these things, and by the time we get the truth(if we ever do) they've been scandled out of government but have already inflicted damage and gotten their payday. Rinse and repeat. What a system.

Is she going to sue Reuters too?
Quote:
April 2 (Reuters) - As Canada's main oil-producing province Alberta prepares for an election next month, its combative Premier Danielle Smith is facing a series of controversies and resignations that could undermine support for her ruling United Conservative Party (UCP), political analysts say.
In the space of a week, a leaked recording of a phone call between Smith and a Calgary pastor facing pandemic-related charges has raised questions about the premier's judgment, two senior members of Smith's cabinet said they would not be running for re-election in May and a UCP candidate resigned after accusing teachers of exposing kids to pornography.

Come on now Fuzz, they're investigating that, we just have to be a little bit more patient.

I am amused by the fact that UCP supporters are simultaneously paying for CBC to (effectively, I may add) do their exact job and report on issues - even if its exposing the corruption of the UCP - and at the same time, will be paying legal fees for the UCP to fight (and lose) to the CBC too.

And yet, somewhere on the internet, somebody is arguing that the UCP are a bunch of fiscal conservatives.

I thought we went through this with the Wenzel Clown Family v. Nenshi lawsuit, and the public was not on the hook to pay for Nenshi's legal fees?
I would think any legal challenge she mounts is 100% on her (and whoever is stupid enough to donate to her legal fund that will inevitably be launched).

Just hope the UCP keeps the own goals coming, and make it blatantly obvious to majority of Calgarians throughout the whole city that the UCP is not fit to govern, and vote for the NDP.
Many Calgarians may not like them, but status quo is by far the worst option. We need the most competent option.

Defund the CBC!!!! There not doing there jobs!!!
CBC does its job in literally the easiest way possible: using direct quotes
THATS TO MUCH!!! BIES!! SLANDER!!! SUE THE CBC!!!
Nice to know our Premier is as dumb as the dumbest tool found in a Postmedia comments section. Probably taking advice from the guy who thought asking people about their experience with MAID was the same as wanting to kill them.
Conservatives truly bring the best and brightest at all levels.

Smith is 100% making the statement without going through with it because a large portion of her base with read this head line of suing the CBC (who they already hate) and not read any of the details. This is right out of Trump 101 elections playbook with trying to feed your narrative without the actual facts.

I want an apology for the lack of safeguards in Alberta that lead to her being our premier in the first place.
