Lots of people lately that seem confused by the idea that if you post an opinion on a message board people might respond to it or even disagree with it.
“This person is always responding to posts!”
“These people all disagreed with this person!”
Ah, the magic of watching someone discover a message board’s basic function.
Ya and then you have a group of people telling you how angry and miserable you are cause your opinion a) differs from theirs or b) is negative. Although I would consider myself a die hard Flames fan, at my age, they no longer have that type of control over my life, over my mood.
I wasn't even aware their was a wall till this thread but it seems super childish and bully type behaviour. I'm surprised the mods are good with it.
I can't believe people don't understand everyone has a different perspective and opinion, well I guess I can cause that is common in all aspects of life. Debate and challenge people if you disagree with them but that is next level. We all want the Flames to be good and win a cup, people have differing opinions on how they can do that.
Man that bully word gets thrown around a lot these days.
Reposting what people posted on their own free will is bullying? Getting teased for giving up too quickly on the home team is just fun.
Lets lighten up a bit.

FFS, this is exactly what happened last time you guys did this wall of shame thing. Yeah, it's fun for you, we get it, and it calls people out for being negative.
But ultimately it led to exactly this, right away last time too. You guys know that. You may feel you're right or justified in doing it, but it leads to nothing but bitching and divisive tension between posters, when we're all supposed to be cheering for the same team. You know that, and yet here we are again. Like **** me.
There’s probably at most two, likely one left for the year so I’m not picking on it this time but it was a stupid idea the first time, so much that the poster left the forum over it.
That Lucic goal is so funny. Dude looked at the puck through the whole shot. I don’t think he had any idea where it would go. Turned out to be perfect.
The Wall of Shame does derail things, but it sure is funny. Not sure why some of the extremely negative folks act like victims all the time when people bring back their posts. Own it if you are going to act like that on a public forum over a hockey team you have literally zero control over.
FWIW when I read really dramatic negative posts I always laugh to myself. Mostly because I get it, I signed onto this forum when I did live near many friends who liked hockey or cheered for the Flames it was a place I could express my ideas and emotions about the Flames. Have a place to do that is that is sacred, but it is just a game, and talking hockey is hobby so the stakes are low, we all say stupid irrational things about the game happy and sad.
Putting in a rookie goalie with no NHL experience hoping he can get you into the playoffs with five games left is a bigger gamble than playing your two main goalies who have been streaky but have shown they can give you good enough goaltending.
People need to be realistic. Wolf isn't getting called up unless an injury happens or the Flames are out before the last game. It's the same situation with Coronato but he probably has a better chance because you can limit his icetime. But I would be very surprised if he plays while they're still in it.
Yeah, look how it backfired on that idiot Scotty Bowman when he put in Dryden in 1971.
Seriously I get not calling him up and I don't expect them to unless there's an injury. But it would also probably give us much better goaltending.
Came for the most important gif of the season. Disappointed.
I think many years from now when Michael Stone is on his deathbed surrounded by grandkids and great-grandkids, and he finally goes, his version of heaven will be taking passes from wingers at the point and uncorking slapshot after slapshot for all Eternity.
That's his happy place and I wish him all the happiness.

The ironic thing to me is many of us have similar (perhaps not as extreme) thoughts in a frustrating start to a hockey game.
Some though ... have to post the sky is falling stuff and then come off a little funny later on.
But we all have that "come on!" feeling when they sputter or the goalie lets you down, or they give up a goal right after scoring.
It's that exactly. I was pretty negative after that first period in my own mind. Those who take it to the next level by telling us how trash the team is, how the season is over or how stupid the coach is deserve to be jabbed a little.
I mean, I was worried the season was over after that first period. And again after they lost the lead.
I'm certainly not sitting here today all confident they are going to get in. I am glad that we at least get a few more games with some hope and drama.
