Default Flames 5 Ducks 4

Flames 5 Ducks 4

- Markstrom pulled
- Flames come back from 2-0 and 4-3 to win in regulation
- Key goals from the supporting players
- Stone with the game winner.

But that bar is rising with each Winnipeg victory, potentially necessitating Calgary running the table to finish.
I'd say 90% chance we need to win all remaining.

Walker Duehr is essentially found money. 2 year league minimum deal playing himself into an effective 3rd line role.

I think 5-1 would do it as long as the loss wasn't against the Jets, their schedule is tough.

Tall task.

I really thought 95 points would do it, but that would mean Jets can only get 5 out of 10 points. With the NHL loser points, that makes me nervous.

Have to win the next 2 games and go from there

Lose one and pretty much done except for a miracle

Jets next game is against us, and after we beat them, their remaining games are against tough opponents.

Especially since there’s only 5 games left.

Flames play Winnipeg and Nashville yet. Win both and then take 1 more point in other games compared to both and they get in.

Lose against the Jets and it gets much harder

We already control our destiny with respect to the Preds. If we have no more losses the rest of the way, we will gain more points than they are able to (because if we win the head to head, they can't also win it).

Jets last game of season is against the avs. We better hope Colorado has something to play for.

Yeah opponents mean nothing. Some of the top teams have nothing to play for and resting

Look at the standings. These teams are all like 1 point apart. Taking a game off could be the difference between winning the Division or finishing third and starting on the road. Maybe this could happen in the East, but West will go down to the wire.

The Jets' opponents will have something to play for but they'll still have less desperation to win than the Jets could possibly have.

Maybe, but occasionally the pressure can suffocate a team too.

I think if the Flames can finish out 4-0-1 that 96 points will get them in. Anything less and they probably miss out. Winnipeg only needs to go 3-1-1 to get to 96. So it is key that the Flames win the head to head game. But need to get past Chicago first and try to get the goaltenders heads in the right space.

I was a lot more optimistic before the Jets beat the Devils last night. They seemed to be in turmoil and that was a game I had circled as a loss.

Yeah, I agree. 12 goals in two games, I think their slide is over.

Pretty sure we lose Tuesday night against the Hawks, Flames will be looking ahead to the Winnipeg game and come out flat..

Its a tough spot for the team when it has finally gotten its mojo back over the last two weeks. Basically hoping for Winnipeg to go 2-2-1 (or worse) so that you can sneak in is not a good spot to be in.

Winning every game may not even be enough considering the Jets have the edge in wins on the season.
