Was at the game. Our section slapped a lot of high fives. Some drunk was trying to start the wave while the Flames were down by one. He was shouted down.

Oddly enough though, that happens more often than most would think. Heck, I still do that when time is limited to get a shot off. As well, I for sure some pros even do it too. Sometimes you just need to get it on net.
The number of center mass shots you see probably proves the point. We all expect them to pick corners and some can do it. But I bet there’s a lot of “shoot it hard and hope”.
I learned from the best. We gotta play some hockey when you're in town again! You playing at all out in London? Or is hockey not really a thing there?
It’s not that big here in London but I’ve managed to play with a couple of teams in the upper midlands etc. One is full contact too, so I’m loving it. I am just so busy here so am unable to play as much as I’d like though. Playing both centre and D (depending on the team). I tell you though, I’m the grinder 2 way guy for sure, lol my two linemates are Russian and Swedish respectively.
Yes. When I come back to Canada, I’ll play for sure. May have to move back in the fall.

I hope were prepared for the next phase if the wave started.

Exactly. There is so little time to get a shot off, even in lower level leagues (non pro too), in the slot, that you just shoot and let the muscle memory do the work. That’s why you see players take hundreds of shots in practice from the same area over and over again.

Yup. Lucic has a slower than average NHL release but all those guys can shoot the puck hard and pretty accurate if they have the time to get a good shot off.
If many sat down in the third or fourth row and saw how quick the game is up close as compared to TV, you'd come with a pretty good appreciation for even the "plugs" like Lucic and Lewis. Both with getting shots away, but one wrong half split second step the wrong way and any decisions that have to be made by every player.

I don’t see any scenario where Markstrom doesn’t get the start against Winnipeg on Wednesday.
Which likely means Vladar goes on Tuesday against Chicago?
That said, if we score our way into the playoffs I strongly consider giving Wolf a shot if the other two continue to struggle…
You're thinking that the Flames would make the playoffs without Wolf playing a regular season game and then they would suddenly start Wolf in the playoffs? Like the Flames of all teams are less keen on putting prospects in at the best of times, but literally no team in the NHL is making the playoffs and suddenly promoting a prospect goalie to start there. That is literally an insane idea
