Two very intriguing matchups in PHX-LA and TOR-NJ that I will be watching.
The Maple Leafs I hate.. but the Raptors, me likey. Is that common?
Looks like Dirk will be winning the MVP, which will be a travesty considering all his stats are AVERAGE, sans his team's record. I would choose Steve, Kobe, and even Gilbert ahead of Dirk in MVP consideration.

Given how Washington played down the stretch you have to think Arenas would garner a lot of MVP consideration. Without him they've got a lot of balls in the draft lottery instead of in the playoffs. Vince vs the Raptors should be an intriguing matchup. The Nets still have some pretty good players so thats a tough match for the Raps.

I'm looking forward to the Raptors- Nets of course. Also, I think GS-Dallas will be a fun series although the Mavs should walk all over them....but the Warriors have played good ball recently. I filled out my facebook bracket just a few minutes ago and had Dallas beating Chicago in the finals. Really, it should end up being either Pheonix or Dallas in the West, but anyone could win the East.

2 things wrong with the Raptors game today:
1) TSN referred to the crowd as being a "Sea of Red" - serious copywrite infringement if you ask me.
2) New Jersey's away colors are red. It looked like a home game for them. That's brutal planning on the part of some management type who doesn't actually watch the game a whole lot.

I think Kansas City is cool with it. After all they let the Flames use it too.

Yeah I heard that whatever the road team chooses to wear in game 1 they have to wear the rest of the series. So NJ will be wearing the red third jersey every game in toronto, I really hate them for doing that.
I dont see the lakers winning more then 1 game unless Kobe dominates for 2. THey just dont have anybody to guard Amare, he will have about 12 dunks a game IMO.

Have you been watching the game tonight??
Pure PWNAGE.
LOL it is more like the Globetrotters vs the Generals, not two pro NBA teams facing one another.
Kobe and the Lakers suck. It is great to see. Go buy your wife another $80K ring Kobe, you're not going to be playing basketball much longer.

LOL!
Suns put up 68 points in the first half.
They are running all over the Lakers.
I'm sure Kobe can drop 70 next half to get the Lakers back into it... lol

Kobe for MVP!!
Haha he and his team got SCHOOLED.
Even better was when he threw his team under the bus in the post game conference saying that his team didn't have much talent.
MJ (Bulls version) made all his teammates better, Kobe complains that he doesn't have an all-star like Shaq to hold his hand and lead him to playoff victories.

Honestly though, the lakers team doess suck. They don't have a good PF or C, they are all terrible. So in a series against marion and amare, how would they stop either of them and even get rebounds. Kobe shouldnt have sold out his team but they do suck and Kobe is an outstanding player. Without Kobe, they would have been last place in the league for sure.
Some people hate Kobe and let that effect there analysis of his skills. He may not be the best person off the court, but on the court he is one of the best if not the best in the league. The scrutiny this guy goes through is ridiculous.

anyone else planning on watching the Golden State Dallas game tonight? I am a big Dirk fan, got his jersey and everything, but something makes me want to cheer for GS. They are a really fun team to watch.

Everyone loves an underdog, and GS has played Dallas well in the last couple years, thanks no doubt to D. Nelson. Also nice to see the Warrior faithful get rewarded w/ a playoff appearance.

big game today for the raptors and the suns.
Raptors need to win to even the series and put it back to home court advantage.
Suns need to win so that they can get some rest before round two.
What blew me away in game 3 of the raptors nets was that no team understands how soft a player Carter is better than the raptors, yet no one put a body on him, gave him a hard foul, solid box out, a solid pick (like the one Jefferson threw at Parker) or anything. I don't get it. The only team with players being picked up off the floor was toronto.
That has to change.

Raptors got owned again by Wince and the Nets.
The playoff experience of the nets is shining through, I think this series is over... Raps will be lucky to get it to game 6.
Nice to see the rapist and his no-talent team get beat down by the Suns once again. Hopefully the Suns can put the Lakers to rest next game. Kobe for MVP my ass.

The Raptors are done unfortunately IMO. They have no answer for the big 3 for NJ. Bosh is struggling and they don't have enough to get by the nets with him playign like that. Still a hell of a season and a great future for that club though.
I think the Bulls will come out of the East... It seems like their team is finally gelling and their backcourt is coming of age. They'll be a handful for the Pistons.
What can you say about Golden State? Unbelievable stuff. You gotta love the way that the Oracle is responding to those guys... its a nuthouse in there. Davis and Richardson are clutch...
And what can you say about Steve Nash? Wow. He's one of those rare players that actually might define the way a position is played for the next couple of decades (it might be a bold statement... but I honestly believe that). I think this is finally the year that the Suns get to the final and win it.

I understand that a conference final with Chicago and Detroit is pre-mature, but it is the likely outcome for the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls definetly look good after sweeping the champs - however, I really can't see them taking out Detroit with their deep bench. Guys like Luol Deng, Nocioni, Tyrus Thomas, etc. (their primary support staff) are nowhere in the calibre of the Pistons' reserves. Chicago would still have to beat Cleveland, which they should because they are a better team, but that series won't be a cakewalk either.

Are you saying that the Bulls reserves as a whole are not as good as the Pistons reserves or that Deng, Nocioni and Thomas are not as good? Because Deng is 10x better than any reserve Detroit has and Thomas is much better as well.
The problem for the Bulls is that they have to many very good players and no great players. They have maybe 8 guys who could start in the league but no gret players. They should move some of those guys to try and get a star guy to be the go-to-scorer at the end of games.
The problem I see against Detroit is who is going to make the shot when needed as you know that Billups, Hamilton or Wallace will make it for Detroit more times than not.
