The desire is there. It wasn't before but it is now and its evident.

Saw the big win in Seattle at end of January and now tonight. I may need to cancel plans for next Saturday and find my way back to Rogers Arena a week from now.

They are getting closer and closer to playing Sutter's hockey, took a while but it's getting close.

No, they are not. Look at the goals they allowed. That’s not Sutter’s hockey

In fact, you could consider it to be drawing a penalty....part of the game.
As for the Oiler fans who think the Flames are lucky, this is the unluckiest season for the team I've seen. The number of games Calgary has outplayed the opposition and lost is something else. The OTLs, the posts, the disallowed goals (going back to Game 5 against Edmonton). Nothing has been breaking the right way for the Flames this year. Yet they still have a shot.
But I wouldn't call the Oilers lucky either. It takes serious mismanagement to put yourself in a position to win 4 draft lotteries in 6 years. That isn't luck; it takes dedication and hard work to make a reverse dynasty.

When do the Oilers get that kind of NHL table service?

Ugh, all the time. The Oilers have the Golden Boy benefit. If they just had Pissy I don't think it would even be as bad as it is.

I fell asleep in the 2nd and woke up to find that the Flames were down a goal. I watched for a couple minutes and saw that beautiful goal by Stecher to tie it up...and then I watched them fumble again defensively giving up that awful 2 on 1 goal to Beauvillier (horribly defended...just terrible). At that point I throw my hands up and said I can't watch this and went to bed.
Woke up to find that they gutted this one out with a late PP goal, a huge OT save from Markstrom, and a nice finishing goal by Toffoli. I'll forgive both of Backlund's defensive gaffs because he set up two nice goals as well.
A sloppy game, but a gutsy win none the less when they needed it.
One question...did Kadri even play in this one? Didn't notice him at all, even though he got an assist.
Toffoli and Weegar with team leading 6 SOG a piece. Those guys are picking up their game down the stretch.
As we all expected, it will come down to the game against Winnipeg to decide their fate.

It was incredible to hear all the Flames fans in the building. The support must have helped the team and had to be worth at least one of those two points.
Thank-you to all those that turned Vancouver red.

Sunday beat the Ducks, Devils beat the Jets, and Tuesday beat the Blackhawks.
Wednesday night game in Winnipeg could put us 4 points up on the Jets.

Big props to the Flames fans in Van yesterday. Turned the game on the radio and was confused where we were playing last night. Everytime Wills mentioned Lucic on the radio you could hear a loud Looooch cheer in the background!

I was in section 325, guy behind me shows up with a work friend who had a Calgary flames shirt on and was like ‘oh no, you too?!’ Followed by ‘good god it’s like a leafs game in here tonight’ - almost felt like a home game at times, our section would drown out and take over pretty much any go Canucks go chant that tried to start up and yea the Looooooch chants were loud and proud every time the big man had the puck. So much fun!
