Didulo followers, Freemen on the Land, whatever other stupid "I'm not bound by the rules of society" group you can come up with... I have no sympathy for any of these people. Assuming "Bonnie" has children, they should be taken away and put in foster care immediately. Our social safety net is too strong to allow Darwinism to take its course here, or these people wouldn't be alive to pollute the gene pool.
Yeah, but the queen of Canada thing is SO dumb. At least the idea of being a Freeman on the Land is kinda alluring. Being your own boss, not beholden to the government, etc etc.
What is alluring about this idiot? Literally not one redeeming quality about her.
At least Trump was a TV personality before and had an aura of an ultrawealthy person that people naturally gravitate towards.
I remember we had a few debates on this board about the whole Freeman on the Land movement, and there were a couple of posters promoting it in their thread.
Its laughable and sad because as a movement its a massive fraud where a few people sell books and workshops and make a ton of money from the gullible, silly and stupid.
Clearly the woman in the story is mentally ill and incredibly guillible, But her actions are inherently selfish and put her kids in danger.
But no you can't pay your bills with a rock.
This Queen of Canada thing is laughable but dangerous as she tried to incite her followers to murder health care workers over vaccines.
But she's a scam artist and nothing more.

HOW was this...this..."person" deemed mentally fit enough to stand trial? This is someone who needs to be kept out of society for the rest of their life.
Serial Calgary cat killer Aleeta Raugust showed little outward emotion Wednesday as the Crown detailed her grisly torture of nine felines, seven of which she killed.
“She told the police that ‘sometimes I named them, but most of the time I didn’t,'” Crown prosecutor Rose Greenwood said, in reading in a statement of agreed facts signed by Raugust and defence counsel Moira McAvoy.
“‘Cause I was adopting cats to kill them. So I didn’t see the point.”

“It’s because all I want to do is go buy a bunch of weed and smoke that, get an extra-large pizza and eat that and then I want to get some kerosene and a box of matches and set my building on fire and be in the room when the boiler explodes.”

I mean, chance for punishment is greater if fit for trial instead of the alternate of being mentally unfit, so wouldn't you rather that be the case?

In this case probably not, killing animals doesn't get you much of a sentence, less than 2 years, where as being found incompetent is an indefinite sentence.
I worked with a very low IQ kid a while back, he got into a tussle with a cop, basically a shoving match as the cop was trying to question him, cop ended up on their arse and knicked him for assaulting a police officer (mostly as he was embarrassed this dumb kid pushed him over), as a first offence and with him clearly being not that bright I doubt he would have been jailed if he pled guilty, he had a young lawyer that argued non competence though to avoid a criminal record, he was found not fit for trial and spent 3 years in a locked psych facility which was frankly worse than jail

"In the video, a young boy approached the 14th Dalai Lama, also called Tenzin Gyatso, and asked for a hug. In response, the 87-year-old religious figure gestured to his own cheek and said, “first here.” The boy kissed the Dalai Lama’s cheek and gave him a hug.
“I think here also,” the Dalai Lama continued. He held the boy’s chin and pulled his face forward for a kiss on the lips. There was applause as the Dalai Lama laughed.
Holding the boy’s chin, the Dalai Lama pressed their foreheads together for a moment. After he released the boy, the Dalai Lama said, “and suck my tongue” before sticking it out at the boy. Again, they pressed their foreheads together, with the Dalai Lama’s tongue still extended between him and the boy."
An 11-month-old girl has died after she was left in a hot car on Sunday while her parents attended a three-hour church service in Palm Bay, Fla., police said.
It has never happened to me, but I know how easy it is to forget kids in cars if your daily routine changes slightly.
Although tbh if both parents are together at church, how did neither of them think of their own kid for 3 straight hours? Sounds fishy.
I get paranoid I incorrectly assumed my children were at day home, with grandparents or babysitter etc. on a regular basis and forgotten in my vehicle.
A few years ago, I mindlessly kept driving towards work. Within a few minutes of passing the turn to dayhome and commuting towards work, I hear, "Daddy, do I get to visit your office today?" It still keeps me paranoid to this day that if my kid was sleeping, he could have been left in a freezing cold vehicle for the day because of my potential error (day home likely would have called asking why he wasn't there though.. but still). I'm also paranoid it could happen again.
