If they want to continue the 30-year post Enterprise timeline, I would totally watch a Captain Shaw & Friends show. He's easily the best part of this season
"It's Captain Shaw, he eats blue meat!"
"You thought he was an ass, but he was actually a geek!"
"He don't like the Borg, that's why he had Hansen as first mate"
"But then they made up, together their adventures will be first rate!"
"It's Shaw and Friends!"

While this would be hype, it would also be stupid and super aggravating to undo the glorious killing of the final weyoun clone by Garrick, as confirmed by the female founder.
Spoiler!
Combes also played the Ferengi Brunt, who someone noted was already referenced this season
Oh! And the overhead ducting that keeps venting into the bridge and then Commodore LaForge needs to be put to work on inventing the Federation's newest and most important piece of technological hardware....
We call it..."The Surge Protector."

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Seat belts and Surge Protectors would have changed Federation history.

The biggest thing for me this season is the leap in quality of music and respecting the kind of Alexander Courage, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, and Ron Jones leitmotifs and themes.
Trek since it's revival has been plagued by simply awful generic modern music that sounds like the intro to every netflix TV show or House. Jeff Russo is the big bad in my universe. Him and Bear McCreary make just about any show totally unwatchable for me (one of my main issues with SNW, BSG, etc.) as I'd rather watch the show on mute than have to listen to their music. Don't get me started on Murray Gold for Doctor Who who scores everything like a bombastic pirate show or Hallmark movie.
Also, maybe using fewer massive, poorly secured, girders in the ceiling of the bridge and other critical areas.
I dont know why, but this just seems like a scene out of Futurama where the 'Girdermakers Union Local 359' has a contract to install needless but weighty girders in Federation Starships for a few centuries.
"Why dont we just get rid of these girders?"
You cant do that!

I may watch this, but to be clear, this does not seem like what Kurtzman wants. What he wants is Picard season 3 extended, without Picard but with everyone else. That's what I got from it at least. Star Trek Legends or some bull####.

I gotta tell you, that last episode...Patrick Stewart seems like he is just exhausted. Just done.
I love him, I could listen to him read the phone book, but he looks and sounds completely out of it. I hope he goes out on a high note.

For what it's worth I haven't seen Kurtzman stumping for 'Star Trek Legacy' but Terry Matalas who is the PIC showrunner for the first half of S2 and all of S3
