Vegas looks vulnerable. Bring them on in round 1.

This is not so accurate in the hockey world.

Markstrom played well. Hopefully he keeps it going.

Quick is terrible nowadays and none of their other goalies can stay healthy. If they have to rely on Quick in the playoffs they're an easy out.

Tonight is the template game the Flames can look back on and replicate, if they make the playoffs

Flames are 3 regulation wins back of WPG too. Maybe they can use these games against bottom feeders to help themselves with the tiebreaker.

Don't think that matters. The tiebreaker is total wins.

FFS I just realized that when we play the Jets, it will be on the road, the second game of a back-to-back (and 3rd game in four nights) with travel.

Oh well, gotta play the cards you get… hope the boys are up for the challenge!

Salty is not whiny or butthurt IMO. The latter imply that the slight which offended you doesn't merit such a reaction.

Salty has no such implication.

edit: Urban dictionary has a good example: "Butthurt Lord is when you get salty over a simple thing while you bitch and complain about how trash is it since the object you're complain about is very easy."

Pretty sure if we catch up in any of the tiebreakers they won't be needed.

No, it's regulation wins first now:

1. The greater number of games won, excluding games won in Overtime or by Shootout (i.e., "Regulation Wins"). This figure is reflected in the RW column.

2. The greater number of games won, excluding games won by Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.

Regulation win, total win, whatever, just aim at getting more point than they do. There's no other way around.

Proposal for future seasons: 1. The greater number of games won, excluding games unduly influenced by unbalanced/suspect officiating/awarding of powerplays based on the name on the back of a player's jersey.

Lol. Resident urban dictionary expert trying to argue semantics after a great flames win.

Don't be salty bro.

haven't been able to look over the entire thread but Duehr was the Flames best forward in the first period and he ignites a fire over the entire 4th line whoever he plays with.

You CANNOT take this guy out of the lineup right now.

Yes, he is the guy drives the 4th line. With him in there, I actually don't mind see 4th line out. I might be mistaken, but they seem not getting hem in as much lately.
