I really like the jersey. It's so simple there is no question it's a pride jersey. Some other teams kind of bury the pride aspect into their logo or a dark jersey. Not here.

I'd 100% buy one if these if they were produced for fans.

Does anyone know what other warmup Jersey's have gone for? I would assume there is big corporate money jumping on these events.

Yes, according to Salim Valji: "players will sign the jerseys before they are auctioned off"

I think most Russian players have worn it, no? Definitely saw Malkin wearing one the other day. Bobrovsky too when the Staals sat out during Floridas pride night.

All this religion and nationality nonsense just gives players an excuse to do what they wanted to do anyway. I doubt any of them were like, damn, I really wanted to participate but my religion and Russian law won't let me.

That Flaming C would make a great flag for the playoffs.

Certainly not. You do not mess with the home/away sets that we finally have full time, especially for playoffs.

I don't know what the birds and flowers have to do with LGBTQ rights specifically but that's a damn cool looking jersey regardless. I kind of want one now... I'm assuming they're extremely expensive?

I assume it's just a nice way to incorporate the rainbow colours into the logo by tying it into the local flora and fauna.

The idea was to display the flora and fauna of southern Alberta.

Exactly, they're just things to hide behind. If they wanted to wear it, they'd wear it

I'm not anti-Pride jersey but I'm surprised at the love for this. It's too busy for my liking. Not a fan. I think leaving the C white with the rainbow outline would have looked a lot better.

Either way, nice of you to ask about it.
What about the jersey though, can we still call this the Flaming C? Or just call the original the Flaming C?

I actually think it would look even better with black (or grey) first nations artwork inside the crest, but whatever.

It's a really cool looking jersey.

It diminishes the message if people do not think it is voluntary.

Also, punishing people who do not agree with you has a number of negative outcomes that may actually exacerbate the problem.

The world is a better place when you convince someone of their wrongs rather than punish them for it. There is a way to do all of this and make only positive statements about the players who are doing the right thing. That's the way to look like the "good guys". Vindictiveness is a great way to lose the moral high ground - sometimes even amongst people who would otherwise agree with the entire project.

Why give such power to power to the PRovorovs and Reimers of the world?

Pretty neutral about the corporate pandering, though the attention is no doubt helpful. I personally hope the Flames players show some team pride and gut out a win against a team that's rolling right now.
