I’m sure I will say this again, but I am still shocked that Poirier isn’t a forward. He likely has the best hands in the organization TODAY.

The gulls are so bad, love that the Wranglers beat them as they should. The rematch is Sunday.

Zary with 2g, and 1a, putting him 12th in AHL scoring, with 63gp/20g/37a/57pts,+6, 59 PIM.
Poirier is 7th for D scoring, first for rookie D, with 60gp/9g/32a/41pts,+8, 44 PIM.

Wranglers win and Firebirds lose, so the Wranglers are now first overall in both points and points percentage.
Calgary has 9 games left and Coachella Valley has 11 games left. The Wranglers have a 4-point lead. They have one more head-to-head matchup, in Palm Springs on April 5.

VIDEO
Highlights are a little disorganized, make sure to watch till the end of the video for Poirier’s 2nd goal.
Saw Poirier go down hard, does anyone know if he finished the game?

He did, I believe he was out in the last minute trying to complete the hat trick.

Man, It's insane how quick Wolf is post to post and still with the ability to stay up right, positionally perfect and a great glove hand and blocker.
Too small my ass, I have memory's of Kipper watching him, goalie coaches would use tapes of him for teaching except most goalies can't dream of being that fast.

dobberhockey has a good article on goalie prospects.

At the top by a healthy margin is Calgary phenom Wolf. There is a reason observers have been saying for years that this kid is going to be special. Remember how much hype Carter Hart (PHI) had when he entered the NHL as a 20-year-old? Dustin Wolf is on an even better trajectory than Hart, coming up through the same leagues

I’ve always compared Wolf to Carter Hart…

Poirier has absolutely ridiculous mitts. That's NHL level skill right there.

Adding onto the Poirier appreciation thread…he was signing autographs with Klapka and Pettersen this afternoon.
I got him to sign his goal puck from earlier this season
