3 minutes left in season and 4th line out down by a goal. Sutter is far too stubborn. Have to think top 9 shakes their heads every game Sutter does this.

4th line played just over 10:00 tonight, but why did it seem like it was always at the most inopportune time?
Dube line out there flying, sustained pressure, getting chances, send out Lucic.
But ya, the final minutes, that was just bad coaching. Pull the goalie with 2:30 left and the 4th line are the ones out there. Sutter has quit on the team as much as they've quit on him.

When the goalie pulled himself and Quick went in cold, Sutter left the 4th line out there
Then they played a regular shift throughout the last 8 or 10 minutes.
Then they were out there when Markstrom went to the bench
I don't expect them to never see the ice, but what we saw in the last 10 minutes was undefendable

GoFundMe to help our penny pinching ownership pay off Sutter's extension?

Have no words anymore. Anyone else see the disgust on Huberdeau’s face during that timeout?

I was at the dome and he looked bad all night. Not much more to say than that. He didn't deserve to be out there one bit.

Found this old quote from Brian Burke interesting regarding Markus Naslund and his relationship with Mike Kennan.
Regardless, if Sutter is back next year or shown the door I hope someone has the stones to say this to Kadri and Huberdeau:
“Mike Keenan was the coach and he was there until the All-Star break. He didn’t like Markus, Markus didn’t like him. Markus was playing very poorly and I said to Markus, ‘Look, this coach is gonna be gone long before you are.’ But I said ‘You’re stealing money right now. You’re not working hard enough, you’re not scoring goals, you’re not making anything happen – you’re just stealing money, so you’re just as guilty as the coaches, so don’t ask me for a trade. You gotta put your game together here”

Don't get all the love of Burke as a gm on this site . Didn't he and Feaster pretty much sewer the rebuild here and Toronto?

Honestly. Whatever your opinion on Sutter is, the bigger problem and concern is Huberdeau.
No matter the system, he should not be this unproductive. That's on him, not Sutter. This is why he's not on the ice for key moments. He doesn't deserve it since he doesn't deliver.

Didn't that die with Hartley? I think Ward did it for a bit to now that I mention it but don't think Sutter has.

We will be replacing Sutter with Bednar and Cooper? Co-coaches or drawing straws for assistant?

Who said they would? Just giving examples. They were hired for being nicer but successful. Mitch love could be on the same path as those 2.

This likely explains Sutter's use of the 4th line. Sutter is waiting for someone to step up and take that spot.
