But we put out the grinders to scramble around the net while the Knights collapsed in front. Doubt a cross ice pass to an open guy forcing the 37 year old goalie to move east to west would have changed anything.

I really thought they’d put it together and wasn’t surprised it was taking a while. But to miss the playoffs in the way it has played out - and how it will seemingly continue to play out - for this group is unacceptable, lame, disappointing, embarrassing, shameful and an indictment on team management and on down.

2023 Flames make me miss 2015 Flames a lot. Eat a hat if you want to call that unsustainable, but that was a bad team with a tonne of heart and moxie. Not a single comeback this season, but lots that year. What a difference.
Tonight really felt like a page is about to turn for this franchise.
