I've been banging the 95 points drum for a while. Still think that's the target.

Even with not owning the tiebreaker

Jets I think end up around the 92-94 point mark, Preds something similar.

9-3-0
8-2-2
7-1-4
6-0-6

I like the 96 point threshold because it implies that the Flames don't need to count on the Jets or Preds losing.

The Kraken will most likely enter the conversations soon as they play 4 st8 on the road (DAL, NAS, NAS and MIN) then in april they play 3 X vs the surging Yotes, twice vs Vegas and once vs the Kings.

ANA,CHI and Van are their other 3 games.

So playing below ,500 is a possibility.

I am interested to see if Seattle opens a second playoff door.

They'd have to be extra bad to end up in the low 90s though.

I'll add 'em while they're relevant but they have a pretty easy schedule and a game in hand.

In other words they have to play like the hockey experts all thought they would play this year.

A 5-6-2 record would be nice...... for us.

3 vs the Yotes who are 6-2-2 in their last 10.
Van,CHI and ANA are the easy ones.
NAS I can see a split

The rest are pretty tough

Fingers crossed!

Lol we had the same exact joke in our hockey pool Whatsapp group....until I was a Debby Downer and pointed out that Daccord means "Okay", as in "I agree", not mediocre.

Jets have 11 games left. They have a .450 point percentage over their last 20 games. So .500 might not be out of the question - and even if they play 6-4-1 would put them at 94 points.

Nashville has 14 games left but a very tough schedule. They have played at .550 over their last 20 games. 8-6-0 would put them at 94 points.

Kraken have 13 games left and they only need 12 points to get to 95 points - I don't see them as a real target. Even just 6-7-0 and they likely lock up their spot.

Flames need 18 points to get to 95 points and that has to be their target at this point.

Games Against Teams Above Them: a-LA | h-VEG | h-LA | a-WPG | h-NSH

Games Against Teams Below Them: a-ANA | h-SJ | a-VAN | h-ANA | h-CHI | a-VAN | h-SJ

Flames need to go 3-1-1 in those tough games, and 5-1-1 against the teams below them. 8-2-2 would get them to 95 points. The big thing too is winning those games against WPG and Nashville. Win those and Nashville has to go 8-5 in their other 13 games, and WPG 6-3-1. Those head to head games are huge, win both of those and the line might become 93 points.

We weren't going to win them all. Unrealistic to think we would go 12-0. Last night was a game that we could have lost, and we did. Tonight was a game we should have won, and we did.

10 games remain. 8-2 gives us a chance. 7-2-1 still a possibility. 7-3 would be a tough grind but not impossible.

Win one, lose one ain't gonna do it, they need to put a string of wins together. And it needs to happen yesterday.

The Flames have 10 games left, so a maximum of 20 points under their control. They don't just need to start winning, they also need the other teams to start losing with some regularity.

Flames need nine wins and hope for no three point games. With Vegas, LA, and the game against Winnipeg on the Jets' home ice this is an uphill battle. They have no missteps at their disposal. It's really win out or die.

Yeah, If the Jets go 5-5, the Flames need to go 7-2-1. Definitely need some help along the way, but it is doable. Runway is getting shorter. 20 games and 12.5 need to go our way.

On the plus side, after last night we are now tied with Nashville in RW, the first tie breaker. So that helps.

What do those numbers represent?
