Not going to watch tonight, so they'll win like 5-2.
Only to lose 2-1 to the Sharks on Saturday.

Over/under on the number of Flames who will trip as they hit the ice?

I think I’ll take a pass on tonight’s game. Last night just burned any flickering bit of “like” for this iteration of the flames right out of me. Except for Lanny in the intermission. Still a Legend.

The NHL results this year are kind of weird.

Last week we won 7-2 vs Vegas and the very next game Vegas won 7-2 against CLB.

So 8-2 Flames?

I dunno, watching the first 4 goals last night I really didn't think Markstrom was the problem. It was like watching the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters... Markstorm was absolutely hung out to dry.

Markstrom didn't look great to start but it was his rebounds more than anything. The rest of the team looked slow, then shell shocked.

It could be a 5-1 flames win, a 8-3 flames loss or a 5-4 OTL and none of these would shock me.

Me in yesterday's GDT:

"Win tonight I think this team will REALLY start to believe they can do this.

Flames had a rough start last game vs Dallas, expecting a much better start to this game."

I hope the Flames break my pvr tonight with the rewinding... highly doubtful though.

Any chance they would fire Sutter and Muller before the end of the season?

Oh goody another game of Huberdeau and Kadri playing like they don't want to be here.

Probably won't watch much which means they'll win.

The rare time I forget there is game they always win.

Doesn't make a difference though. They just don't have it

And the team is fine with keeping this toxic locker room as is

Stay the course boys

30 years of mediocrity and counting

I don't think it's fair to say Huberdeau has been playing like he doesn't want to be here.

Kadri on the other hand...

Bench Huberdeau and Kadri and put in some players who want to play for the logo no matter who the idiots are behind the bench.

I was so excited to go to Staples Center and watch the Flames play some hockey yesterday. I think I'll sit this one out.

I'll never understand this line of thinking and how someone gets there as a fan.

Playoffs are always better than no playoffs even if you think your team has no shot.

Especially when it's clear the Flames won't drop enough spots to get into the Bedard stakes. They're not gonna drop every game to end the season and that's what it would likely take to get leap frogged by the 4 teams necessary to get that miniscule chance at Bedard.

Playoffs and the 15th or 16th pick will always be better than no playoffs and the 12th-14th pick.

Add in the fact the West doesn't have a Boston-like juggernaut, it makes the hope for just getting in even bigger in my eyes.

Yes, the Flames are unlikely to get in now, and they wouldn't be a favorite or anything close to even money in any series, but to actively hope for losses to squash any hope of making the dance is beyond me.

They're four points out. Could be 2 points out, even on games if WPG loses tonight. Still have a game versus WPG. That's not homer glasses, that's just facts.

As much as last night was embarrassing, they didn't lose points because of it. They didn't drop any spots. They're still in the fight. If they can get to within 1-2 points of WPG before that head to head in early April, game on. They were 7 points back a couple weeks ago, they're 4 now. This isn't impossible. Hard and unlikely, yes.

But it's not a facade as you put it.
