Why didn't Lanny get into coaching.

Not saying it is related but right after that was announced the team spiralled down after having one of the best starts in franchise history.

This and the Huberdeau deal were mistakes. But the coaching deal is easily fixable since you can just fire him. Huberdeau and Kadri on the other hand….. just have to hope they decide to care.

Guaranteed contracts suck. NFL has it right.

Yeah, crazy theories are fun and all that but I really don’t think people are that petty or nefarious on a stage like this.

It’s just incompetence at an organizational level. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sutter has been trying the "Get them all to hate me so they rally around that as a team together" card all season and it hasnt worked.

TBH the issue here is likely that at some point around game 45 the team actually needed a softer touch.

Buy in has not been the issue all season. They were buying into what Sutter was teaching. Lack of finish, poor goaltending, poorly timed gaffes, and some bad luck were what was killing them.

But I dont think Sutter ever softened his approach, and just pushed harder, and IMO thats probably where he lost them.

If you have a team that is doing what you ask them to do, and are working hard, but just arent getting results, but then you just dont let up and keep hammering them...that is when you are sure to lose them.

What are the crazy theories? What I posted? Blame the media for talking about Tree and Sutter butting heads or how x player or player agent making it known its not a good place to be or the coach doesn't tcommunicate.

Just like the Hamilton trade years ago. Where there's a lot of smoke there's a fire.
