??
It's simply wins minus regulation losses.

Wpg +11
Nash +9
Cgy +7

Calgary needs to finish above both to make the playoffs

Worst possible scenario. Flames just have to win most if not all their games

And mcpowerplay with a brutal goal that I could have scored. Grubauer is terrible. Just handing the pretenders the win.

Well the way this day is going hockey wise I’m fearful of the Flames game tonight. I just want Edmonton to crash and burn so bad!!! No franchise deserves the amount of good fortune that seem to fall into that teams lap.

Ok thought it was one of those Wpg or Nashville win would minus one from the other team models.

So if Jets go 6-5-1 in their last 12, Flames need to go 9-3-1 in their last 13.

Oof.

9-3-1 to hit 95 but I feel we’ll need 97 and some magic.

Not really, Nashville point is probably irrelevant

Games over .500 is the best way to see who is ahead IMO. If 96 points is what we think is needed, that's +14. That means Winnipeg can only be another 2 games over .500 and Nashville can be only 4 games over. Flames would have to be 7 games over .500 to get to 96 points. That's a tall order in 13 games that means maybe a couple regulation losses.

On the flip side, if the Flames win all of their remaining games that's 102 points!!!! GFG!

Including today's win, the Panthers have a .661 points % since Jan 3, good for 8th best in the NHL over that stretch. They're reminding me somewhat of the '19 Blues.

Doesn't matter. They're not getting past any of the deeper teams in the west come playoff time. Any one of Colorado, LA, Dallas, or Vegas will take them out in 6 or less. Even the Wild would probably beat them.

Last place team that fired the coach and have the goalies go on a bender?

Don't worry Paul Maurice will #### it up.

I don’t remember their goalie going on a “bender”. Maybe after they won the Cup.

This I can totally see happening lol. I really struggle to understand what he has done so far that has had any positive impact.

But the Panthers are an enigma kind of like the Flames. They are 2-2 against Boston and 1-1 against Carolina and these games were played before they got healthy and found their current hot streak.

But yeah, Maurice will probably find a way to #### it up.
