China isnt anymore a threat to global stability than the US has been since 1920, China is a threat to our white western stability but most of the world lives in utter poverty providing us with the raw materials for our lifestyle, to them China is probably a better bet, can't be any worse
Although it may feel like things are getting worse, worldwide poverty levels have been dropping over the last 50 years. Not sure that is because of, or in spite of US dominance, but it is true. I am not sure about your bet as to "it can't be any worse"

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
“We started noticing these large numbers of bodies everywhere,” he told me, “people on the road dead, wounded. And just sitting there saying, ‘God, how’d this happen? What’s going on?’ And we started thinking what might have happened, but you didn’t want to accept that thought — because if you accepted it, that means your own fellow Americans, people you were there to protect, were doing something very evil.”

I'm not sure about that. Many 3rd world countries have succeed when the US lifted sanctions on them. North Korea would improve tomorrow if the US lifted sanctions. How is being buddy to China the last 70 years doing them? I mean, do you want American dollars of Chinese dollars?

The famine had overwhelmingly ideological causes, rating alongside the two world wars as a prime example of what Richard Rhodes labelled public manmade death, perhaps the most overlooked cause of 20th century mortality.1 Two generations later China, which has been rapidly modernising since the early 1980s, is economically successful and producing adequate amounts of food. Yet it has still not undertaken an open, critical examination of this unprecedented tragedy.
There is no comparison between a modern democracy (however flawed) and a totalitarian communist state.
The United States is either partially or directly responsible for between 20 and 30 (conservatively) million deaths in almost 40 countries worldwide since WW2 due to wars, coups and destabilization efforts and covert assistance to dictators and terrorist domestic rebel groups who have engaged in terror and atrocities against the populations of their own countries or their neighbors. They have destabilized entire regions for their own gain. Their actions have caused genocides and untold human suffering.
To say there's no comparison (as in one is much worse than the other) is a bad joke.
