Yeah...really they need a 7 game win streak to have any chance.
Game / Date / Team
69 / March 16 / @VGK - Win
70 / March 18 / DAL - Win
71 / March 20 / @LAK - Loss
72 / March 21 / @ANA - Win
73/ March 23 / VGK - Loss
74 / March 25 / SJS - Win
75 / March 28 / LAK - Win
76 / March 31 / @VAN - Win
77 / April 2 / ANA - Win
78 / April 4 / CHI - Win
79 / April 5 / @WPG - Win
80 / April 8 / @VAN - Win
81 / April 10 / NSH - Loss
82 / April 12 / SJS - Win
11 - 3
To me that bolded stretch is the key. You need to win those 7 games - all of which are winnable games. Then you need to go 4-3 in the other 7 games.
Split the 2 games against Vegas. Split the 2 games against LA. Split the NSH/WPG games. Beat Dallas.
And then you need to beat Anaheim x2, San Jose x2, Vancouver x 2, and Chicago.
That gets you to 96 points and I think with 96 points you will probably be pretty safe.
But at this point the only chance they have is with a long winning streak, and you need to beat those teams below you. It's that simple.
