Remember when we were the best team in the league 3v3?

Fun times.

Let's land a player like one of those!
How about 16th?

Crazy part of that Sakic pick, Joe wasn’t even Quebec’s first selection in that draft.

At 9, they took Bryan Fogarty - he had just broken Bobby Orr’s junior record for goals (38) and set a Canadian Junior record for points from a defenseman (140).

Unfortunately, drug and alcohol issues saw him out of the NHL by 1995 and out of life by 2002.

You can clearly tell Kadri is not invested. We saw how he played at the start of the year, or how he plays in the playoffs. He just simply is not brining enough energy for the games that should be do or die right now. Idk if he just does not believe we can make it or if he just does not really want to either and is done with the season

Man 14 OTLs. That's certainly a number.

Not sure if I should laugh or be upset.

i'd love to hear his rationale for this line of thinking. i mean here we are 70 games into this season and how many times has the team won 4 out of 7 games???

Huby and Lindholm connected for some nice plays when they end up together for a singular shift every odd game. There was that breakaway pass from Lindy to Huby ~10 games ago, then the great pass from Huby to Lindy at the end of the third. Did Kadri and Huby show any signs of such chemistry in 50 games they played together? The answer is no. Even the goals that line is scoring right now are the type of goals 4th line scores

That's Wills. He is paid to be optimistic.

Frankly I agree with this.

It's the "if" in the equation that is the huge problem and not likely to happen. Any team that goes on a massive heater at this point in the season will be a tough out.

Kadri's best hockey was when he was with Dube and Mang to start the year. He's been a black hole of suck since he's been with Huberdeau. This team has some good players but they just don't gel.

That was always the worry after the unprecedented roster core change, and the reason you never see it happen and probably won't see it happen again anytime soon.

There was always the chance that the chemistry wouldn't work. Then you throw in a goalie who lost his game for 60 or so games and the confidence of the whole team looks shot.

Make some changes in the offseason and hope the chemistry gels.

Kadri is better with North South players that just hunt the puck - he's not a great passer.

Huberdeau needs guys that attack the middle of the ice that he can play 1-2 passes with (Lindholm and Dube both can do this IMO).

Personally I would like to see:

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Dube
Pelletier - Kadri - Toffoli
Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman
Ruzicka - Lewis - Duehr

I have no problem with Huberdeau needing special conditions to be an effective player, I have a problem with the contract he was offered. Supporting players are not worth 10.5 Million.

Not as strong a group, but still some nice players.

How the lines haven't been tweaked is absolutely mindblowing. Especially after so much success stacking the first line last year.

You saw Dube play with Huberdeau and create a play that hit the post.

A few shifts later at the offensive blueline when Huberdeau waiting for Kadri to gain the zone so he could trail he threw a little pass into coverage and created a turnover.

The guy truly has no idea how to use his linemates and shouldn't be playing with elite talent.

I think its time we make Kadri the 3C and put him with linemate he can play with like Lewis and Lucic. Just go stand by the net and wait for him to finish his public skate and do flash screens when he tosses wimpy wristers at the goalies crest from the half wall.

His entire game is missing, if he was playing with that emotion that he has shown his whole career you could say at least he cares. Looks like a player who left his desire in Colorado.

The Kadri/Huberdeau thing was done dozens of games ago. Not sure why Sutter refuses to break them apart, other than he is being stubborn and feels he needs to show them he is the boss.
