Broken thumb
2 herniated disks
Groin Operation
Left wrist surgery (x2)
Left hip surgery
Broken foot
And now some new mystery injury

For a guy that doesn't play a physical game, this is quite the list. He's either very unlucky or genetically prone to injury.
I'm not a Dr, but I'm pretty sure some of his injuries are related to prior ones. Like when he needed surgery on his right hip because of overcompensation from playing on an injured left hip, etc etc.

Never would think of the guy but he apparently knocked up some IG model a year ago and is now in court fighting over custody of the child. Or at least I saw the court case last summer, not sure what has happened since. Plus he has had pretty bad luck with injuries this year, missed a lot of games and has played banged up a lot (hand / shoulder etc.)

Sean Monahan's career is eerily similar to Tim Kerr.

According to capfriendly.com, Mark Jankowski and Luke Philp have both signed contract extensions with Nashville and Chicago, respectively.

It really is a shame that Monahan's career has been derailed because of injuries. He broke into the league with decent production right away and for a while, it looked like the sky was the limit. Early in his career, he was on the same kind of trajectory as Barkov. Obviously Barkov has a complete game that few other players possess, but in terms of draft value for where he was picked and star potential, it was pretty close at the beginning.

I really hope this isn't a case of the Flames coercing him to play through injuries, or letting him play through when they needed to make him sit and recover. It seems like Monahan is the kind of player that never wanted to let up how bad things were, but teams have a responsibility to protect players from themselves as well.

The way posters talks about Monahan now compared to his last few years here is, let’s say, interesting.

No kidding, hey? It perfectly sums up the Calgary fanbase IMO - while here: lazy bum who can't skate and only scored goals when Gaudreau set him up with a wide open net. Now that he's gone: a likely 40 goal scorer, handsome, charming, and a better human being than Gandhi.

Don't get me wrong, I was always a fan - he seems like a great guy, and he had some great years here. But the change in tone from the fanbase is insane.

Ghandi was super racist and a pervert who would sleep naked to his young female relatives to “test” himself. Doesn’t take much to be better than him.

LMAO...jesus, I love revisionist history.

Yeah, Gandhi was a monster. Right up there with Hitler.

Ghandi’s entire purpose was to not have Indians looked down upon like Africans. That was the catalyst because he couldn’t believe that the white people were considering him as “coloured” like the Black people he despised.

Also it’s weird you think someone who slept naked with his niece is somehow a good person.

Great person? Sure, he did great things.

Good person? Nah, racist perverted weirdo.

Also the fake pacifist beat his wife. Probably because she didn’t like her husband sexually assaulting their young relatives.

I personally don't remember ever bashing Monahan, but for sure there were some who complained about him being soft. I never thought he was soft, as he would often choose to take the hit rather than throw the puck away or sacrificing a play. He is not a guy that is going to crush other players, but he certainly was never a wimp.

I think last season though, a lot of people who used to bash him started to come around realizing the extent of his injuries and seeing as how he accepted a diminished spot role with dignity and no pouting.

Before you do, want to contend anything I said? It’s all historical facts.

I assume that’s the issue, you can’t refute it so you ignore it. Fox News viewer? lol.

How about we just don’t try and compare hockey players to racist misogynists without facts.

Same guy randomly called me a fake tough guy and what I assume was a derogatory word skirted by adding a extra letter.
